For Strikers, just make sure you get the upper hand and slam them before they hammer you, remember you can tank a hammer while your in the slam mode
For Voidwalkers I'd recommend using either Vortex or Shatter, and directly hit them, they won't be able to get out of the vortex in time and three mini nova bombs is likely enough to take out a Sunbreaker. Also, blink
Stormcallers try and get a direct hit with Landfall, then if you can try and hit them with a little lighting, you might take them out, if not they'll be very close. Also Ionic Blink!

It's not true that you can tank a hammer while in slam mode IF you are not running the Unstoppable perk. I've done stopped plenty and had mine stop plenty of times. The unstoppable perk is a must against the hammer.

Lol. It's just I've been using the Helm of Inmost Light more now since a year 2 Armamentarium nor a Twilight Garrison has dropped for me (Thanks Bungie! I really needed 21 Crest of Alpha Lupi's.....) and since I've always spec'd for more agility, Shoulder Charge is more versatile to me than Unstoppable. Now I could change perks mid game, but I always forget and there's no way I'm wearing that ugly Spartan Statue helm. 9 times out of 10 it really doesn't matter but that one time when I meet that Titan who went to sniping school, it hurts so bad lol

Haha, I'm trying to get better at sniping as it is, quit PvP altogether as soon as TTK dropped but I have to get better again. Also, I've never seen a Titan spec into full agility, good on you man!

Thanks, man! With MIDA and Armamentarium, I got a lot of hate mail telling me where to put my lightning grenades lol. The cool thing with MIDA was that your Shoulder Charge "charge" time was reduced significantly. I could run away and bug out of a room, turn around, and shoulder charge the guy trying to get me while I'm weak.

I think hammers can actually break the Ward of Dawn.

That they can. Two hammers takes out a Ward of Dawn, leaving the people inside defenseless to your fiery rage

I played a bunch of Mayhem the other day, and let me tell you, Defenders are the worst subclass for it. My flaming hammers once destroyed a bubble and the 3-4 people inside

That's why you run suppression grenades and Armamentarium. Defender isn't useless. It's the fun police of Mayhem.
