Datto made a point in his latest video.
Yade ya why keep all these weapons you grinded for for hours right??
So these year one weapons are irrelevant in year two?
So why bother with year 3 weapons when year 4 comes?
So for the next 10 years. You're gonna waste time and money on grinding and gaming for nothing?
As in you'll spend all the time, money and effort to just gain and dismantle?
10 years that'll be a waste of spending time on this game.
Datto has made me realise what a shit franchise Destiny is turning into.
Edit: I am not trying to tell people how to live their lives. I am also a loot whore, yet love a deep and interesting story.. Which Destiny over two expansions still can't muster up.
This post isn't a goodbye. This post is me trying to get your thoughts on the state of the game and how you feel about giving up weapons you love.

Изменено (ccSPiTFiRΞ): 7/25/2015 8:55:33 AMI don't consider myself as a hardcore gamer but besides the 3 HoW exotic weapons, I have all exotic armor & weapons (all maxed out) which took a lot of time, material + glimmer grinding!
My total playtime across all x3 characters are 1500+
I will most probably move on to other games if this is the case....just can't see myself repeating the grind year after year....and personally I think they're gonna lose MANY players if that's the case!
It happened with the release of TDB expansion
I'm a very big fan of Destiny & enjoy every minute of it...........but I'm gonna wait for all the changes after TTK release & then decide to either stick around or move on to other great titles (btw...my PS4 copies of COD: Advanced Warfare, BF: Hardline & FarCry 4 are still unwrapped in the man cave thanks to Destiny!)
I also stopped throwing money at the screen!....for now.....
EDIT 1: VOG, CE raids (which are both part of the so called "Epic Story") & POE will all become silent graveyards! Nice move Bungie!

Yeah pretty much. And while there's no point in keeping year 1 weapons during destiny II's mid life, I'd be Interesting to hear the hushed wispers of crota weapons. And the mythic fatebringer and all who coveted it. Maybe, I don't know, I don't usually let other people influence my opinion on other things, especially video games.

Once I head to college I doubt I'll have time for this game. So no. I won't be here for 10 years, but I will play for a year or so.
-
-blam!- no, ill be on The Division next year
-
What else should we do for ten years, granted we stay that long, if not to find new weapons? What else can Destiny account for if not grinding for weapons? Yes we have the crucible but that alone isn't reason enough to not forward the arsenal.
-
I will not be here for 10 years. I'm just here until another game drags me away and I highly doubt one won't within 10 years.
-
Did I comment on this on the destiny ps4 page yesterday?
-
It depends on a lot of factors. Life itself is included not just how the game is. For me probably yeah. As long as Bungie doesn't milk too much money from us
-
out of college thank god
-
The weapons will still be good in normal crucible
-
New consoles will be out and a different destiny will be too
-
I love it when people say they grinded and wasted time for nothing. What the hell do you thing video games as a whole are? You grind and waste time for NOTHING!!!! All those hours playing any video game ever made in the history of mankind......YOU GET NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT!!!! It's just for fun.

With that reasoning what's the point in playing any game then if they are going to have a sequel the next year? You couldn't carry stats or weapons from Halo 2 to Halo 3. Hell, people on CoD prestige and then lose everything they had worked for only to get a nameplate. Sounds like this game going from year one to year 2.
-
I play fallout ,,, nothing carried over yo fallout 4... I think it'll be okay
-
I hope not
-
I hope that I am still playing Destiny in the years ahead, but now that a year has passed I have some doubts that the game will last for a decade. Ten years is such a long period that it is difficult to forecast what will happen. Life itself also has an influence on a gamer, so anything is possible.

You get to play the game you know. Haha. Just play and stop complaining please for the love of jebus!

It hasn't stopped WoW players, and they have to pay a monthly fee! With almost every update in WoW there is a new raid or content. (Which is probably worth the fee) with that the gear becomes almost immediately irrelevant, but people still grind and play because it's what they like. I will still be here definitely. I love the grind, even if it's for nothing! I find myself running VOG or CE over and over just to help others get gear even though I cannot get anymore for the week. So the weapons become irrelevant each year doesn't scare me, I hope for it!

Halo (Bungie) was a 10 year franchise with 4 games (CE-Reach), why does everything think this one game is supposed to last 10 years?
-
I want to, but only time will tell
-
I played halo for 14 years. So I am pretty sure I will be playing Destiny for the next 10
-
Wtf look back ten years and the games and consoles that existed these games will no longer exist in this form You will play the character in a virtual world Don't take today and project it into tomorrow
-
No cause ten years from now I'll be 24 making the $$
-
I won't be nerfed in 2 months... Let alone ten years
