What's your preferred way of self defense in the apocalypse
Each obviously has its pros and con's but this for your "primary" weapon. Obviously a plan b is always necessary.

-Swords, axes, etc
[b][u]Spearmen[/u][/b]
-Spears, pikes, etc
[b][u]Archer[/u][/b]
-Crossbows, recurves, compound bows
[b][u]Throwing weapons[/u][/b]
-throwing knives, stars, hatchets, etc.
[b][u]Chemist[/u][/b]
-acids, poison gases, explosives etc. (This would take some knowledge)
[b][u]Trapper[/u][/b]
-build pitfalls, pungee pits, spring guns, etc.
(You would be able to secure an area very well)
[b][u]Guns[/u][/b]
-rifles, pistols, shotguns etc.
Things to consider:
Wear and tear
Ammo/materials (and the decreased availability with time)
Utility use
Hunting/fishing/foraging
Other people
Share what your first option would be and what you would use as backup to cover its weaknesses.
Let me know stuff to add.
My style would be archer. I would carry a dagger and a pistol for back up.

I'd go with guns if I knew how to make bullets and maintain everything. If not, I'd go with spears. It's literally a stick with a pointy thing on the front, not a very expensive material.

1 ответJust give me an AK and I'll be fine. Cleaning is extremely easy especially if you do it the Taliban way (motor oil and a shoe lace) ammo is plentiful, and it'll put someone down in 1 shot. Thank you 7.62!

Archer. I am actually a very good shot. Used to shoot competitively. I'd carry a pistol and knife for backup.

1 ответSummoning demons using my COMP Sure having a gun is neat and all, but it won't protect you from other demons or from various status ailments (like getting poisoned, blind, guilty, charmed, etc).

Swordsman all the way. Got enough of em to outfit a decent sized group. A nice accurate pistol would be my backup. Gotta have a little ranged capability.

Trapper, with chemist as my secondary. Never gonna run out of earth to dig holes in.

1 ответIf you have a bow archetype then you need something to clean the arrows. Every time you nail that arrow (if you even do) into a zombie, then you need to clean the disease off of it. A lot of people say that bows are easy to use. HAHAHAHAHA no.

6 отв.I would use a gun depending on the situation but if I have no ammo and stuff I would probably use a knife, for food i have never hunted before so I would probably suck badly at it but I can fish very well so infinite fish for me [spoiler]too bad im allergic to fish[/spoiler] [spoiler]I would most likely starve to death before anything else gets me[/spoiler]

33 отв.Swordsman, never run out of "ammo," if you're good with swords it would be easy to kill practically anything that thinks like a zombie. +Looks badass +No ammo needed +If good with it, incredibly effective -May need to be sharpened

1 ответBow Strings Degrade over time, also arrow heads that would actually kill a person somewhat quickly from blood loss are likely to get -blam!-ed up and broken.

I'm all for hand weapons, but if one guy's got a crossbow or a gun, you're screwed.
