Has anyone proposed that Bungie add variation to the models used for each enemy type (NPC)? As of now, we have the same enemies with different colors. I would like to see specific enemy types (like Dregs or Vandals) with different armor pieces or perhaps little aesthetic touches like pouches or sashes. Just little things. From a little bit of modding experience (Bethesda games) I know that the little things make a big difference. Immersion is a concept that console games have yet to truly apply. Just take weather systems for example. Snow or rain (real rain, not that Venus sprinkle) coming in and out randomly would make the land feel alive, even reactive. Combine that with diverse NPC models and you have a recipe for success. Seeing this variation makes the game feel real (to an extent). In other words it creates the aura of immersion. Other concepts to engage the player might be: interactive objects or loot/spawn variation/et cetera.
