Hey.
This is not a flaming or trolling thread, this is a honest question to those who know more than I do about Bungie, or if I could get an official response from Bungie that would be very helpful as well.
I like Destiny a lot, it has it's obvious flaws but I'm not particularly worried since it's still a pretty new game. But I am worried about the following:
Will the new content be released as DLC? Is this the full game for those who won't pay for expansions? I'm talking about permanent content, not temporary events or anything related. I don't have so much money at my disposal which is why I'm simply asking if in order to acquire Destiny's new content as it gets released I'll have to pay 20 dollars every time.
Any input is appreciated, thanks.

Edited by QuotePEI: 10/13/2014 1:59:57 PMAs far as I'm aware, they have two paid expansions planned currently. The ones you automatically get by purchasing that Season Pass or by purchasing the Limited Editions. I can't remember the names unfortunately. After those are released, they'll be evaluating the long-term sustainability of the game after the release of each DLC pack. Obviously the "10 Year Plan" is a hope, but it may not be the case at all. Interest may wane and they may not receive enough revenue from DLC sales to make it worth it. That being said, it does have a huge community, so the possibility of it being sustainable for at least a few years is very possible. I highly doubt they'll get to the 10 year mark, but we'll really see how well that's going to go when we see how much content is supplied within the first DLC pack set to release in December. Also, to directly answer your question; New content past what is there currently will be DLC content. They may have small bits available for those who decide not to buy the DLC pack, but the majority of the content, or at least the content that really matters, will be behind that pay-wall.
