I would like it if there wasn't a max leve. Just have an incrementing level system. That way people just don't feel stuck.

except then you have those people who play much much more than others and have that much more powerful of a character. would cause serious balancing issues.

I don't think it would because its PvE and things could just scale. PvP would need it's own leveling system though

sure it could scale, until you get to the point where some guy has devoted some much time to this game he's off the scale, and to include this outlier breaks the game for anyone included with them. i also don't think they are going to go with separate PvP and PvE leveling systems. could be wrong though.

Like Mista said if there is a separate PvP and PvE there wont be a problem. If you chose to play with a person that is super high thats your own fault. More then likely I will be playing with my buddies who we all will be close to one another. If I had a friend that was crazy high I wouldnt play with them simply because it may ruin it for me.

Okay, say you and your buddies are in the upper tier of PvP. However, there being no max level, that guy with the major lead in levels has been put into your PvP match because that "scale" is the highest the game offers. He so much higher in level he completely owns everyone on your team, ruining the experience. And you know every time you go into a PvP match there's a chance someone like that could be on your team or another. It could really ruin the experience. Max levels are often essential in balancing games with multiplayer like this. Otherwise there would be outliers who ruin the system at the top tier level of the scale.

I was simply saying no max level system for PvE. PvP would have a separate level system and that will have a max level scale.

Its still possible to making things unbalanced. But I can understand where you are coming from. I still think it would be best for the game to have a max level.

Could make the max level like Diablo is doing. Have experience go into a paragon-esque type level. Something that gives us advancement but doesn't break the game. That way we don't have wasted experience. At the very least make some sort of experience based currency after max level so people can earn top tier gear through massive advancement. I don't know, though. Ideas.
