Hi everyone, new player here. Recently, I am really interested in bows, so I want to get one this season (season of the plunder). Also I don't have any DLCs. Do anybody have any suggestions or advice on how to easily get some bows in the game? It will be better if it's a kinetic weapon:) Thanks very very much!

Edited by Illuminary: 9/11/2022 2:30:37 PMAll bows are good. They kind of trivialize pve content and are way too strong in pvp. You can shape a void one, kinetic one, the stasis bow is readily available, plus the three main exotic bows. (Trinity, Monarque - frankly it's broken, and Ticcu's). Strident Whistle is a solar vanguard drop also. Dares is dropping Arsenic Bite as of now.

If you want a great arc legendary bow i suggest the "Point of the Stag". Its pre-masterworked with a great roll, and is available at the exotic archive in the tower.

2 RepliesLe Monarque is the best bow for both PVE and Crucible. Wishender is okay in Crucible. Trinity Ghoul is okay in PVE.

I can't wait to get my hands on the new trials bow, it can roll with kill Clip, which sounds nutty on a bow where you reload every shot anyway

Le Monarque for pvp, get a quickdraw handcannon to support it. For PVE Trinity Ghoul is pretty spicy. If I was stuck with just 1 bow, it would be Le Monarque.

For exotic bows I’d recommend trinity ghoul or Ticcus Divination, they’re amazing in PvE and great exotics. For legendary bows I’d say probably strident whistle, it can come with incandescent which Is always fun or the bow from garden of salvation because it’s best in slot

Trinity Ghoul is all you need

Look up Dares of Eternity loot pool, i think Whispering Slab still drops there. It's hella ugly, but nothing to be shy of, perk-wise. Also, the blue bow, Holless, is pretty nice, even without random rolls, just keep hitting heads with it. Lunulata is a world drop, but it's stasis, not kinetic, but that means it can roll with Headstone which makes it a wet dream for ad-clear.

Biting Winds is available from Empire Hunt quests on Europa, but is outclassed by other options, especially since it lacks an Origin Trait. Wish-Ender is an exotic bow that can be discovered by completing a quest from the Shattered Throne dungeon in the Dreaming City. Those are probably the 3 options that require the least luck to acquire. There are also others, but some come from raids or Trials of Osiris: https://www.light.gg/db/category/1?page=1&f=8%280%29%2C10%28combat%20bow%29%2C4%286%3B5%29%2C-1%2C-56 EDIT: Outside of the above weapons, Whispering Slab from Dares of Eternity on weeks where it's in the rotating loot pool (or sold by a vendor) and the new Stasis bow from the world loot pool are the only options in the Kinetic slot available to free-to-play players.
