Here's an idea if you think divinity is too strong. Don't use it. Nobody's pointing a gun to your head and forcing your team to run Div. If you think it's too strong than don't use it. Genuinely as simple as that

The issue arises when causals try to get into a raid group and find themselves slogging through the pages and pages of "Must Have Div!" posts. It is a very persistent meta and it really does trivialize content by putting the role of player debuffer in an easy-to-use aerosol can. That being said, the answer is not to nerf Div because it is one of the few slogs that actually rewards the player who has invested SIGNIFICANT amounts of time in pursuit of the weapon and if there is a decision to be made concerning Div's future, I think we need to have this discussion so that players and devs can maybe come to some sort of mutually acceptable solution. We never that discussion about Xenophage and it was nerfed to oblivion. That's why I quit. If Bungie wants to experience yet another player exodus, they will go ahead and nerf Div without regard to player feedback.
