The fact is 99.98% of players arnt streamers , there hard working people who after a long day of school or work wanna enjoy a game , you can't bend to the will of cry babies who literally practice this game like a pro athlete. Putting in mote hours to a space magic game than Elon does at tesla ..
Dont nerf div , a harder end game isn't gonna grow your fan base sumsetting didn't bring back more people, removing auto loading and buff stacking didn't bring back more people, making raids and gm mightfalls harder sure isn't gonna make more people wanna play , or pay , it'll just make the streamers little twitch shows more entertaining ...all while they use the absolute best gear in the game that they spent dozens of hours the general player doesn't have!
You know how monumental it is for a casual player to get some of these things like time lost and adept weapons
Respect peoples time bungie, add more difficult modes , don't nerf what we got caus datto and salt are cry babies

1 ReplyI work a full time job and still find the time to practice and get better at the game.

Nerf everything Why even use guns, lets just use imaginary finger guns

Edited by j8p8w8: 9/13/2022 12:10:09 PMThis is why single player games still reign supreme. Video games are a means to take you away from the real world. The single player experience takes you away from the politics of Live Service and MMOs.

Or YouTube could just take away the money then we would see who does it for hobby and who just wanted an easy ride. I always thought YouTube was a hobby I didn't for the longest time realize it was a scam.

3 RepliesDon’t be so hard on streamers. Image if your entire identity and career was based around a half decade old video game that gets the care destiny does. Destiny streamers should be supported like make a wish kids. At least pretend they are “important” for the streamers sake.
-
This is why I'm a hunter main now. The other two are backup with warlock being my next favorite cause I used him in D1 so I kind of just have a soft spot for Warlocks.

1 ReplyBetter solution if you think this is all true, stop playing, streamers are technically like business partner to Bungie, in order to remind a business that you need customers, customers will have to stop buying and interacting with the business, and the hopefully that business realizes, “oh Sh!t! That’s right we need money to run a business,“ but this can only be proven by people halting the money flow and paying attention to what a business does next, which will never happen proving your idea might not be 💯. Put your money where your mouths at.

This guy love him or hate him I personally love you man.

You’re just realizing this now? Leveling was perfect in D2 Launch, but it was the Streamers that wanted to gate keep people who don’t have the time they have to put into the game. The 99% you speak of, we’re being punished for not dedicating our moment to moment playtime that we just can’t do cause you know….. life.
-
6 RepliesSimple answer make "streamer mode" make it basically impossible to complete and fill it with bugs and then they will have something to whine about and it should keep them busy trying to show us all how godly they are at a game :)
-
21 RepliesIt doesn’t matter what they nerf/don’t nerf: as next meta would still immediately rise and cycle would repeat itself untill everything would be nerfed to oblivion - and even then someone would find a better strat. So I say; instead of nerfing anything, make other items better!!! We have tons of exotics that nobody uses because they were never good, competitive or were already nerfed to oblivion.

163 RepliesSome Streamers ruin this game. Streamers who are just having fun or explaining something are great. Arrogant streamers like Datto and this guy ruin the game.
-
The streamer that brought up to nerf Divinity used it himself, so why after they got worlds first is it such an issue ? I’ll tell you why, it’s gatekeeping that’s all it is…their team could have done it without Div but they didn’t and now they think they could have and to be honest their probably right, but to deny the use of weapon that helps struggling teams through an encounter is just ridiculous. This game is not for streamers, just because they find something easy dose not mean the rest of us do, actually most of is appreciate the help from such a weapon, why should 99% of the player base struggle because of the 1% If these streamers want to make things harder for day 1 raids or for harder content then don’t use Div simple as that and leave the rest of us to play how we want to play.

5 RepliesWhatever happened to just having fun playing a game? I thought that was the purpose. Now, all you hear is BRO BRAH GET GUD DUDE NERF INSANE BROKEN ETC.

This is a factual statement and I just read the first line

Edited by Nimrod_39: 9/13/2022 7:33:38 AMIf you're a grown man with no other options than making videos about a game then the odds are you have made more than a few wrong turns in life. I don't listen to any of them and don't care about their opinions on anything. The sneering superior attitude from the vast majority of them, and the sheep that follow them, is why I stay away from YouTube Destiny channels, and most end game content like raiding and such. If more people did that instead of giving them the oxygen of attention they would not be so influential. Anyone career to wonder why they all made videos on this latest outrage ?? .. Because it gets them views and views on the latest drama equals money. The last streamer or "content creator" I watched, and it was a while ago, was a supposed lore guru whose videos consisted of him reading out lore cards. Cards that were in the game. Yeah, I can read things for myself. Bye. This game should not be about "casuals" or "hardcore" it should be about accessibility. And Bungie does a very poor job of that, if you want to know how to raid how does Bungie help you do that ??, are there are any tips on how to learn raids or dungeons in the game because that omission is why people have to rely on "Ya Boi's" guide on YouTube. Most end game content is a case of being thrown in at the deep end and being expected to swim. You cannot even find a group to try without stepping outside of the game and there are zero ways to actually learn the content in game apart from being lucky enough to find someone to struggle through it with you. Until that changes, and I don't think it will as I got flamed for the mere suggestion of a no reward tutorial being available for things like Duality that would help players learn the content, we will continue to see the gatekeeping on so many things.

2 RepliesDivinity makes boss fights boring, it's not even about it being too good for me, it just makes everything less fun
-
1 Replytoxic casual mentality
-
So everybody should relax. bungie is going to do what is best for their bottom line, which means that they will do what makes the game just hard enough to be mildly challenging to casual players. They won't make it so you cant raid if you want to, or cant do a dungeon if you want to. hell if you are just a bit above the average you could probably do a day one. It will be a struggle but i promise you, you will succeed.
-
9 RepliesWe want bungie to listen then we speak with our wallets. We want these cry baby streamers to listen then we speak with our wallets. Will we do this? No.

do nerf div. i don't have it so i would like everyone who does have it to be angry about it being nerfed. unless you want to give me an easy and cheap way to get div, in that case don't nerf div.
-
So I think we are all agreed… short term nerf damage and div, long term sunset for a fresh start from light fall

Edited by ZyloWolfBane: 9/13/2022 3:27:16 AMMaybe Bungo can just disable divinity for day one raids like they keep doing with most of the things they introduce at the start of a season if it interferes with the day one raid, it's not like they aren't above that. Problem solved. Or, they can stop catering to the players who'd be bored and complain no matter what. If they wanna be "Hardcore" and ruin the game for themselves that's on them, I really don't understand why everyone else should have to conform to the smallest minority of players. -blam!- I don't even have the gun cause I don't raid, but I'm sick of this mentality hanging around every co-op game I experience. MMOs are just as bad, companies keep trying to chase streamer trends and "E sports" and it literally kills every game that tries it unless it was a grassroots movement from a game that never tried to lean into it like Fortnite or OG halo. Those things, and those people don't keep the game afloat, and D2 already has enough issues from a design standpoint attracting new players.

2 RepliesGoing to say something I know people will lash out at me about... But..... Everything needs to be accessible to all players. Not just because it's a good practice for a business but for actual accessibility standards for the disabled. The reason for playing higher difficulty should be "increased rewards". There is no actual reason to not have softer versions of the event, even soloable versions of events. And it seems to be what an increasing number of people want, the ability to engage with the game the way they want to, not the way that someone else demands they do. Every day on these forums are people demanding the ability to solo content from strikes to seasonal events to raids and everything in between, meanwhile others demand matchmaking be available on everything, citing that events like legendary dares, seasonal events, night falls, are not hard enough to warrant the restriction. Maybe it's time to just give everyone, except a very vocal minority, what they want. Have escalating difficulties of all events, higher difficulty, more rewards, lower difficulty, less rewards. The people who "want the raid experience" will still play it on that difficulty level for higher chances on rewards, maybe even getting to choose one of three rewards from each encounter to increase the chance they'll get what they want. For everyone else let them have a more strike like experience. Will that make the raiders happy? No. But they still have the raid variant and challenge modes. For everyone else they have the mode that is right for their skill level and abilities. If you do that, then it does not matter if you nerf divinity. And to be fair I will even argue maybe yes, it could use some tuning down. What, ultimately, rather they admit it or not, you are seeing in the community response is resistance to having accessibility reduced. People are not going to admit it but this ultimately is not about divinity, it's about community and deliberate accessibility restrictions. Creating culture wars does not do anyone any good. No matter on what scale you're talking. Pitting the various minor cultures that are usually lumped in with the extremes of "hard core" and "Casual" only serves to create toxicity and prejudicial statements. Do what I've said here. Provide options for all events at ramping difficulty with match made and non match made options for most if not all, and I will promise you. No one will care if you nerf divinity. The outcry over this matter is the symptom, not the disease. You need to fight the disease, which above all is division. Worst case scenario. Giving people the ability to play this content in a more relaxed setting lets them learn the arena learn how to get around learn spawn points and general physics, which will reduce the need for kwtd culture because once you have a feel for the event the mechanics are just details. It might actually benefit the raid community by there being a sort of training mode people run through and get a feeling for the raid event before attempting it. You can still have your worlds first contest, but I think it's time to stop trying to tell people how they have to play the game when it's really not necessary.

2 RepliesAmen brother!!! I couldnt agree with you more. I am so tired of the weapons and armor being locked behind content that you need a dedicated team to complete. I cant tell you how many hours I wasted in LFG with randoms going after timelost weapons and never completiing the encounters. That's why they call them timelost. We all pay the same for the game but we are locked out of the best stuff because we dont have a dedicated fireteam that knows all of the tricks, hacks, work arounds, etc. This is a game and should be fun for everyone. It's either too easy, boring and garbage loot or too difficult and unobtainable.

Nerf it. You're just lazy
