No one uses it in PVP, the last time I ever saw that was years ago when someone was using it with Weighted Knife.
It makes as much sense to use it in solo content as it does to use Lumina.
No one uses it in regular strikes or low-level NFs.
I can't remember the last time I've seen it in a dungeon.
So that basically leaves raids and Legend-GMs. It gets little to no use anywhere else. If a weapon like this gets nerfed, debuffs like Div and Shadowshot need to stack, it needs to be reworked to be a good solo choice, and/ or for the sake of fairness, the following weapons should get buffed:
• Malfeasance so it doesn't require 5 users to make full use of it, this includes the buff it gets from Witherhoard.
• Lumina, at least let us consume Noble Rounds to buff our own damage, or let kills from both players extend the duration.
• Ratking, whatever it gets with each nearby user.
• Gjally if only because some people (never checked it myself) say 1 Gjally and 5 Ascendancies/ Hotheads/ Palmyras are better than 6 Gjallys.
• Touch of Malice since the debuff can be refreshed by everyone.
• All weapons of sorrow since they apparently benefit from ToMs Blight.
• Collective Obligation, while still great for solo play, would shine with 6 users all cycling the buffs/ debuffs.
• Outbreak since nanites will likely start disappearing before you can get the maximum buff.
• Vigilance Wing, one perk requires teammates to die, the other perk requires your whole fireteam to be dead. Besides, Alacrity, a Trials origin perk, gives I think 10 AA, 10 range, 20 stability, and 20 reload for playing solo or being the last living member of a fireteam. Why should VW's Last Stand be any different?
• Any weapon with Firing Line or other teammate reliant perks.
Nerf Div, buff everything that is heavily or entirely reliant on teammates, and buff player buffs/ enemy debuffs.
Edit: Just saw a video talking about it and the ideas to rework it by the one guy who I won't name because of forum rules. The weapon already gets little to no use outside of endgame PVE content, and the proposed rework if I'm remembering correctly is to remove the weaken effect and prevent weaken against those same enemies in the hope of essentially making it more interesting for the top PVE players.
A nerf to a weapon to make encounters more interesting/ difficult for the smallest minority in the game. No, just no. It wouldn't be so important if we had stronger debuffs, if bosses like Atheon didn't have weird crit boxes, and we weren't flinching (especially by attacks that don't damage us like explosions that hit the relic shield during said encounter) like we just got hit by 6 HIsnipers with High Calibur Rounds all at once.
Significantly reduce flinch in PVE (especially from attacks that don't damage you), buff the damage of every weapon against bosses and champions, fix the crit boxes, buff all precision weapons (especially WOTW and Sleeper) so they are comparable alternatives to 6 Gjallies or ToMs, and give us incentive to use debuffs like Shadowshot for boss dps (if it was a 50% debuff, people would probably want SS over Div), significantly buff Div's damage, then we can talk about nerfing Divinity like that. Until then, it's perfectly fine where it is.
