How about you play only around 1-2 hours a day and see how good you really are. Only practice with your raid team the week of and see if you come close to getting worlds first. That's about how long 99% of the community can afford to play. The ability for you to play a game for a living has created such a large disconnect between the top players and the rest of the player base. No non MLG game should ever be balanced around the top 1% of players. Until at least 50% of the player base can stay home and play video games for a living like you can, no dev should listen to your out of touch opinion.

1 ReplyEdited by Eliksni Gunslinger: 9/12/2022 11:20:08 PMI am going to hate myself for saying this , has I usually am anti-streamer(Datto is Bungies Daddy lol) , but I have to say it Wouldn't someone who plays the most know more than someone who plays an hour a day , Micheal Phelps probably knows more about swimming than someone who goes to the pool or beach on occasion Do streamers get a big head and think they are more important than they are, yes , but they put out guides that help the average player overcome obstacles, and save you the time of having to discover it for yourself, do I care about there personal opinions about guns and Armor, and power creep, not at all, but they do play a role in the gaming industry Just be glad there are so many streamers now,it's the sign of a healthy game, when Is the last time you saw an Anthem channel, I remember during the bad times in Vanilla most of them quit because there wasn't anything going on to cover, no one needed a guide on how to do a public event which was considered end game back then

7 RepliesThe day Destiny 2 ends so will most of these 'content creators' YT careers. The inevitable 'I'm taking a break from YT' videos will start appearing. They got lucky to have had some skill at a game with such a dedicated fanbase, even dudes that don't play the game any more still check in to watch destiny stuff. But it's the communities devotion for the game that has enabled their success, when it's over and people move on to other games these dudes will be left floundering, I mean I watched some of the dudes content that complained about Div and he has the personality of a sock, the majority of the others are the same.

It’s 100% annoying to see elitism bleed into the community from self anointed 1%rs. Regardless of skill and game knowledge. They don’t speak for the majority and that’s what they forget. The game isn’t designed, or Atleast shouldn’t. Around the top 1%. Remember, Bungie have put a lot into accessibility. They want everyone to get on board with raids and make all modes inclusive. But still be a challenge, nerfing a weapons that’s sole purpose is sacrifice your dos to then provide a debuff wouldn’t be the way forward. Maybe if day 1 raids div is disabled. Or there is a list of only useable weapons etc. Then we can see how they fair. I too was annoyed hearing about it all. Not for divinity being nerfed. But the influence a select few have that can effect the majority. But it is also a double edged sword. Streamers can bring awareness to flaws and issues that the community experience.

Completely agree with you the streamers look down on the gamers who have real lives and families who don't have 8hrs a day to spend playing Destiny. They look at us as we are low-skilled people who complain just to complain. I just play the game the way i want to play it at this point Bungie seems to be very influenced to make decisions based on what the streamers are complaining about which i dont think is fair but it is what it is.

4 RepliesThey simply don't want you to play, they want you to watch them play so they try to influence the game in that direction. Imo, watching people play has always been boring af. Games were designed to be interactive, take away the interaction & I may as well watch a show.

11 RepliesUnderstand how you feel. But people aren’t going stop being self interested. Especially where issues of money and status are concerned. So don’t expect them to stop trying to influence Bungie to change the game to suit themselves. It’s on Bungie to understand that this is what’s happening and that these individuals don’t have the bests interests of the community or the game at heart. So that Bungie doesn’t allow them to ruin the game for everyone else. Which is what nearly happed with vanilla D2.

10 RepliesTo be fair, I slowly stopped following Destiny streamers/YTers because of their hidden agenda’s, toxicity towards casual or “in their eyes low skilled” Players. -blam!- jokes being okay. Calling for nerfs or calling the game to easy. Making fun of other players, getting free loot from Bungie and trying to change things in-game in a way they will end on top with it. I loved to look up to people with skill, and interacting with the community. But I’m done with that looking down on others and crying to have it their way. Only following Uhmaayyze right now, I hope he’ll stay as positive as ever and never turn into what most streamers/YTers became or just are.

While I agree with majority of what you said. I truly don’t believe that every person of that 99% plays for around 1-2 hours a day. You can say maybe like 50% of the player base does. Even then though I feel like that’s to high. Not everyone plays for 1-2 hours a day. There’s people out there that work and are busy a lot that put more than 1-2 hours a day in.

You stole this for my hearth, the ammount of audacity he had i stunning he and others like him are completely stuck in theyrs bubble, i do not have time to play this game from morning to night or to participace on every worlds first. Im happy as a console player i can use every weapon i wish thx to divinity but them this man shows up and say how easy the game is for him... Well go do something else moron.

4 RepliesOnly 1 worth a damn is uhhmayze. All the other think bungie has to listen to them only, they act welcoming but it’s phony.
-
bungie will not nerf divinity afterall bungie is trying to help bad players all they can , that's why pve is a tutorial level atm outside master raids and solo dungeons

sounds like a skill issue on your end lmao
