Moderators are getting too strict

I normally wouldn't post this, but it's getting a bit crazy to see how fast these mods are with locking threads over the dumbest things. I just read some guys post where he said that people thinking divinity needing a nerf are clowns, which isn't exactly the kindest thing to say, but is that really worth locking down the entire post? It's not like he was racist or -blam!- or calling harm on anyone, just expressing that people with that mindset are foolish in his opinion (like clowns). But its just that, an opinion. I just think this company and the moderators on this forum are losing their grip on reality in what's actually offensive and what just happens to offend YOU. I wouldn't say referring to people as clowns breaks the code of conduct, seeing as how hostile and toxic others have been in the other direction and there's silence from moderators.
