Here's an idea if you think divinity is too strong. Don't use it. Nobody's pointing a gun to your head and forcing your team to run Div. If you think it's too strong than don't use it. Genuinely as simple as that

If the div nerf supporters knew how to read you'd be in a big problem.

Must-have Div teams are saying the game is too easy because they’ve done everything multiple times and have almost every useful tool. Let that be Div or Lament to break the bosses, they always find a way to one phase and then complain it’s too easy. As if exploiting a mechanic is making the game easier. It’s your choice to do it, hence you can’t complain about the difficulty.

1 ReplyI always disliked this argument, honestly. It just feels like we're handwaving the problem while ignoring the discussion. "Well's too powerful? Dont use it." "Anarchy's too powerful? Dont use it." "Mountaintop's too powerful? Dont use it." I dont think div needs a big nerf, but i prefer to not use this argument.

Edited by RabbitEars: 9/11/2022 7:31:01 PMDid a big ol streamer say something? If so they had the option to use it and if they didn’t use it and lost or something that’s on them.

Here's an idea if you think divinity is too strong. Don't use it.
That is an easy thing to say when you already have one. The issue arises when causals try to get into a raid group and find themselves slogging through the pages and pages of "Must Have Div!" posts. It is a very persistent meta and it really does trivialize content by putting the role of player debuffer in an easy-to-use aerosol can. That being said, the answer is not to nerf Div because it is one of the few slogs that actually rewards the player who has invested SIGNIFICANT amounts of time in pursuit of the weapon and if there is a decision to be made concerning Div's future, I think we need to have this discussion so that players and devs can maybe come to some sort of mutually acceptable solution. We never that discussion about Xenophage and it was nerfed to oblivion. That's why I quit. If Bungie wants to experience yet another player exodus, they will go ahead and nerf Div without regard to player feedback.

1 ReplyI have div and use it mostly in raids or grandmaster nightfall it only real purpose is to give hard to hit bosses a crit box you can hit even more so if the boss move around during dmg phase's looking at tankis in dsc with his tiny head as a crit box for example. So yes div require doing a quest to get leading to a raid to get it which litteraly anyone can do so no it dose not need a Nerf as all it dose is debuff a target but i think it well past time it added to the item list in kiosk for anyone to get who dose not have the time do it quest or who can't find a group to run the raid with.
