Edited by Astral Dark: 9/11/2022 7:37:20 AMHey, I am 5120x1440, 5900x - 3080ti, 120fps+ at all times. Ideas: It may not be engaging the GPU properly because it doesn't consider it worth while with what is being asked. This is because of internal power management settings. Make the following adjustments to the nvidia 3d settings in the driver panel... Anisotropic filtering: 16x Low Latency Mode - Off (will render more buffer frames) Power Management Mode - Prefer Maximum Performance Shader Cache Size - Disable (theres something weird with how D2 interacts with this) Texture Filtering - High quality Disable all Vsync options (for now). Boot the game up, set everything to the highest settings except.... Turn off AA Turn off Depth of Field Turn off Chromatic Abs Turn off Motion Blur Disable HDR Everything else highest. Close the game. Reboot. Open the game. If it's still chunky, change to fullscreen mode or if youre already on fullscreen change to borderless window. If doing all this doesn't work, come back and we will try some other things, like Ryzen power management settings.

It may be a dumb call, but back when D2 launched my PC wouldn't get any sort of good framerate until I changed the display monitor to be the one directly in the graphics card. I'm sure you've given it a try though, but it's the one time I found it fixable so maybe it'll help.

Edited by bob734625: 9/11/2022 2:28:39 AMI don't think there is a fix honestly. I've told many others I used to bulid PC's and I retired and went back to consoles currently PS5 because of the headaches PC gaming used to give me. Most games worked flawlessly and when they do they are 2nd to nobody. However with a game like D2 that requires so much grinding and hours up on hours of progress playing with unstable framerates and performance just isn't worth it. 4k @ 60 is fantastic and I wouldn't trade it for a $5000.00 PC if someone offered it to me. I'm sorry it's not working as you wish and a 3080ti should be able to slaughter a game such as D2. Best of luck fellow guardian.
