Got my Eververse Engram from hitting level 73 on the season pass Articact.
YAY!
It opened into a Shader.
YAY!
It is ugly.
BOO!
Its a shader I ALREADY HAD!
W T F Bungie?!?
Its bad enough that In-Game Destiny 2 'economy' is so expensive (If you can even call something that lacks trade an economy), but on top of that the Eververse Engrams drop DUPLICATES of things we already have???
Bungie.
Please stop ripping off your player base. At least pretend you respect us, and that we are something more to you than a 'cash crop' to be farmed.

EDIT (Addition):
Regardless of Bungie's 'policy' on the matter;
Eververse Engrams dropping duplicates for any reason is unethical and reprehensible!
Without duplicate protection on ALL contained items...
Eververse Engrams are LOOTBOXES
That's gambling folks.

1 ReplyFive of my Evervsrse Engrams gave the Lion's Pride shader.

Edited by Joulevette12: 9/13/2022 9:33:00 AMThey need to actually implement duplicate protection or make it so we at least get back 100 bright dust on duplicates like before Sad part is that older players have it much worst most of the drops we get are duplicates because most of them are from year 1-3 in which we claim all of during thoes year's You can open all the bright engrams from the BP and get like 2 -3 new things max due to RNG and that's pathetic and bad Bungie 😒
-
Eververse engrams are a scam, joke and filler. It’s embarrassing

1 ReplyGaming in general is basically gambling you're doing a thing hoping to get a thing that you want

I thought it was a weird glitch but it happened twice already. If you're going to give me a shader I already have just give me bright dust instead.

27 RepliesEdited by SkinPoppeR: 9/10/2022 6:47:24 PMThe scary part is Bungie’s success in The Store is one of the reasons PlayStation bought them. PlayStation wants Bungie to develop Live Service games for Sony. PlayStation has devoted 50% of the company assets towards Bungie developing Live Service Technology for PlayStation Games. Absolutely terrifying. PlayStation sees Bungie’s success in the store as a “great test run” of this Live Service “technology.” PlayStation. The company that is popular and successful BECAUSE they spent the last 2 decades building great first party single player only games.....now they are literally out of touch with reality and doubling down on multiplayer Live Service Gaming. Something the majority of us Gamers hate at this point because it is so predatory and capitalist. Such an awful development stance for gaming. Live Service Games have actually hurt gaming. Just ask any Gamer. I think Bungie’s time with PlayStation is gonna be even worse than Microsoft. Which begs the question: “WTF is going on at Bungie?”

It's very pathetic that this continues to happen. It's even more pathetic that they allow it. Duplicate protection, yeah........right......

I’ve had the reef regalia shader twice from eververse engrams this season so far. I already had that shader way back in season of the lost lol. Can tell the engrams are heavily weighted against actually giving us what we don’t have lol
-
1 ReplyOne of the problems is that instead of restocking Bright Engrams with previous Seasons items a heavy proportion now go into an every expanding Silver-only archive. Yes players wanted an archive. No they didn't want it Silver only. No they didn't want it degrading and diverting items from those earnable engrams. That leaves those engrams more and more useless. And Bungie more and more ringing out the last cent it can from customers.
