Hey,
So I’ve recently got quite stuck into Destiny 2. I have never cheated in the game or hacked and last night I was hit with a permanent ban. The only recent change that’s occurred is that I’ve moved to a rural location for work for the next 2 months and the internet here has been dropping in and out and I’ve been having frequent disconnects. None of these disconnects have occurred in pvp and I also barely play pvp except to get the pinnacle quests. From what I’ve read online, suspensions may occur for disconnecting frequently in pvp, however I have not received any previous suspensions or warnings. I am just quite confused why I was permanently banned and hope someone could shed some light on why?
Thanks!

Allo there, The Bungie forums are not able to assist with appeals of restrictions or bans. However, there is a process in place for you to appeal your ban or restriction. Please review the ban or restriction appeal contact form found here. Please note that, as mentioned in the article, there is no guarantee for a response, nor is there a guarantee that your ban or restriction will be overturned. For more information on Bungie's policy regarding bans and restrictions, please review the policy found here.`

Thanks!
If an application designed to read and modify the memory of other applications at runtime was detected targeting the Destiny 2 game client directly. This is, at minimum, a violation of Bungie's policies against runtime analysis. It is the responsibility of each player to understand what software is running on their device and how it interacts with other applications. The data leading to your ban has been reviewed and validated. Your punishment will not be overturned.
We do not ban players for simply having cheat tools installed, but do ban for running them while playing Destiny 2. We do not differentiate between cheat tools for Destiny 2 and cheat tools for other games because it would be easy to avoid a ban by making a Destiny 2 cheat tool that pretends to be a cheat tool for another game. Make sure you turn all cheat tools off before running Destiny 2 and you won’t have to worry about bans.
(source)

Disconnections may get you restricted, certainly not banned; bans are usually placed for a couple of reasons, which are cheating in any way or form (that includes having cheats/mods/trainers for other games running as you play Destiny 2) or playing with cheaters/hackers in a fireteam. Other than that, I've only seen bans for extremely racist behaviours.
