1 ReplyUnerignl You make some valid points and I agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

As soon as Bungie announced that they were taking away the ability to purchase legendary shards for glimmer - I knew they’d be coming after player’s stockpiles of legendary shards next. Sure as -blam!- the legendary shard costs have gone through the roof & supply is way down. Since that change o went from 30k shards to roughly 9k today.

Edited by Tis-but-a-scratch: 9/10/2022 4:23:04 AMWish I could just get the required amount of weapons to focus.

6 RepliesNo one remembers etheric light I guess. Have fun slogging through Prison of Elders to get one of a currency that was the most required currency of its day.
-
4 RepliesBefore the witch Queen I had 27000 shards. I now have 10K and I feel like I can’t buy what I want. I feel like Bungie steal my resources!
-
1 ReplyThank you for your feedback. We have therefore buffed shotsguns in crucible. You’re welcome, Bungie

2 RepliesAbsolutely True. There is something so bizarrely skewed about Bungies behavior on this matter. All their influencers exploit ALL THE TIME. Then (after they have amassed a fortune in (for instance) shards, they tell all their subscribers how to exploit. Then bungie alters the price of things like focussing to absurd levels. The ONLY players truly handicapped by these prices are the ones who play fair. Those that follow in the footsteps of the corrupt influencers barely notice the hit. The Influencers themselves are the most egregious exploiters of them all. How is it even possible Bungie can be this stoopid??? They are actively incentivizing the exact player behavior they are taking companies to court to try and stop!!! What are they even thinking?? Bungie needs to stop making stoopid work for themselves: • Stop catering to influencers who exploit and teach exploits • Recognize what all the cheating and exploiting by their supposed best players really means (unfair or bs game mechanics or pricing) • Identify Cheaters, but don't ban them, keep taking their money, but once they are identified as cheaters, PERMANENTLY change their equipped title to CHEAT and lock them into matchmaking/clan/multiplayer activity and cohabitation of public spaces ONLY WITH OTHER CHEATERS. • Calibrate the difficulty, pricing and item availability to the majority of players. The ones who play fair, don't do every exploit the influencers post guides to, don't use hardware or software cheats or hacks. Etc. Make an intelligent decision about how you really want your players to behave and refocus your efforts to incentivize and reward THOSE PLAYERS.

I have over 30k shards and I still think focusing is too high

1 ReplyEdited by R-E-D-C-E-L-L: 9/8/2022 3:17:02 PMAgreed. I have 1200 shards. So if I want to focus and get a good roll on something, or heaven forbid a good roll on 3 to 4 different items, nope. You need to be a no lifer and run enough stuff to have thousands upon thousands upon thousands upon thousands of shards. As if I already didn't pay almost 300 to get back into this damn game after 3 years off, can I f-----ing at least enjoy the content I paid for instead of having to miss out on -blam!-? I'm just not gonna focus anything, this is really dumb.
-
Definitely. I only focused the first week it became available which was when trials got reworked then I was stunned when all my legendary shards were gone because I didn’t pay attention to the cost. I’ve never focused any trials, ib or gambit engrams since.
-
Agreed. Won't be focusing anything. Just grabbing my pinnacles.
-
Posted this sake thing last season. All I got were people saying how easy it was to get shards. And how you should have plenty. Wrong. Focusing engrams is super expensive
-
The only way I was able to focus 19 rolls of peace bond the final season it was available was through that blue gear exploit. And I still didn’t get the roll I wanted. So yeah, I will not be focusing a single item this iron banner.
-
9 RepliesLet me tell you a little story about why most streamers/youtubers who play D2 all display between 50,000-200,000 legendary shards Once upon a time you could buy a whole set of blue gear for a tiny amount of glimmer and dismantling that gear gave you 4 legendary shards a piece, just like deleting any legendary item would You take a wild educated guess on what everyone did with their glimmer Bungie allowed this for weeks, months, and hasn't penalized any player that "exploited" this So for you it might be a little expensive, but not for the average sweatlord neckbeard D2 nolifer Hence your voice gets lost in the vast darkness that are these forums, where nobody gives a -blam!-. All people wanna do is complain

-
It was the same last season. Same threads were created back then. Nothing changed so.
-
1 ReplyI just decided to not focus. But I agree. 100 shards is way too much for a single focused engram.
-
2 Replies
That’s it
Agreed I went from 10k shards to just over a thousand making builds... It's dumb af
-
3 RepliesI went broke trying to get an adept Messenger to roll with desperado, and didn’t get one. Settled for elemental capacitor lol. At least I can max out stability and recoil direction 🤷🏻♂️. Still, I learned my lesson and definitely won’t be focusing ib weapons that are average at best. I wonder how many gambit matches I will have to play before I can get a yesteryear to drop with desperado. Knowing my luck it will be a lot - maybe infinite.
-
Sacrificed hundreds of shards only to get Reeds that weren't for boss DPS as I've wanted/needed and I already suffered greatly in Trials
-
Every season the question appears: Lower cost of focusing, or increase the material gained in the seasonal activities. Pretty much comes down to what time investment Bungie feels is worth it.
-
I wanted to comment sth, but what's the point. They might lock this post as well. Nowadays they do it for their own amusement...

1 ReplyThey lowered the amount of umbral energy we get for the second season in a row. Last season they gave us less compared to the season before, we were able to focus more for less. This season we get 3 umbral energy for an expedition which requires doing playlist activities AND Ketchcrash which gives you nothing. Ketchcrash should give umbral energy as well as expeditions. The fact its a 15 week season shouldn't even factor into it.
-
honestly should be free, or cost very little. You earned the rewards, you should be allowed to get what you want or need
-
1 ReplyI agree. Drop the umbral energy cost from 27 to 18. 3 containment runs is a bit much to be able to afford a single weapon focus. (Yes I know I’m a season behind)
