100 legendary shards is too much for IB engram focusing. I didn't get to farm infinite shards when witch queen came out so I'm not sat on a huge pile of them.
Is there a good reason for it to be that high? Especially considering even newish players that don't have excess shards and with 12 items in the IB loot pool its not feasible to grind for 1 or 2 new guns every season, leaving focusing as the option for my sanity.

3 RepliesEdited by Raydra92: 9/8/2022 7:49:01 AMYou could buy blue gear from collections for a tiny amount of glimmer and dismantle it for 4 legendary shards each. This is why most streamers show between 50,000-200,000 legendary shards held. Bungie allowed this "exploit" for weeks, months even Everyone who no lifes this game loaded up big time. Your opinion doesn't matter, as streamers don't care about it. 100 shards to those who abused this "exploit" is nothing to them. It's like 1 shard in comparison to what you hold. Some of them can focus 1000 engrams and still have enough to focus 1000 more. As long as the streaming community doesn't complain it's irrelevant to Bungie Too bad I only found out the last day about this exploit, I would've abused the hell out of it You could then re-buy glimmer for legendary shards @ Rahool and fill up to 250k at a fraction of the shards you gained and buy another mountain of blue items that could be dismantled for shards I always wondered why people stood at Rahool for such long periods of time. With a screen record macro you could probably AFK and let the shards rain on you endlessly So yeah, 100 shards is nothing to those who exploited. Bungie doesn't give a -blam!- either, nobody lost even 1 shard doing this as a penalty In General, Bungie doesn't give a single F about any of us EDIT : I'd like to add that the new IB weapons are trash. Rocket launchers in general are trash and the new sidearm is nothing compared to Travelers Chosen. Travelers chosen will always be king Waste your time elsewhere

Edited by SkinPoppeR: 9/7/2022 11:32:18 PMTHIS! Bump I didn’t even notice this till after I spent all my shards rebuying Warlock armor for better stats. So I went through and deleted all my Titan Legendary armor from Vault and character. All of it. Also THANKS FOR GIVING US ORNAMENTS FROM OUR COMPLETE COLLECTION SET, BUNGIE. NOT!

8 RepliesEdited by StarSol: 9/7/2022 10:59:58 AMEven with 6,000 Legendary Shards, I still refuse to focus. The play time it takes to get 100 Shards to Getting-the-roll-you-want ratio doesn't pan out to be worth throwing away that many Shards ever! By the time you were able to afford to throw away that many Shards, you probably already went through all the rolls and got a good one anyways. 😂

[/Bungie cracks whip] Shut up and grind, maggot! [/Bungie laughs maniacally]

1 ReplyThe IB engrams are useless. Low light levels and the same drops you get from playing. I don't understand why it's even a thing.
-
2 RepliesIt's only 96 considering it'll be a crap roll you immediately dismantle
-
I got alot of shards when I dismantled aload of old weapons in my vault (ive got about 20k). Its just a case of play and you'll get them.. I agree that the cost of things is stupid. Look no further than stupid bright dust.
-
Honestly the fact that IB doesn't drop as high stat armor is a way bigger issue.
-
A million deaths are not enough for Master Rahool.
-
I've never farmed infinite shards and have ~20k. Just gotta delete practically everything lmao
-
It seems the world wide inflation problem has impacted the destiny universe as well
-
They could just get rid of shards. We have an over abundance of currency anyway.
-
This is bungie’s way or having players burn through shards so they can then sell shards to you in the future. Im calling it now! Be smart with your shards, these gaming companies are getting worse and worse. Just look at overwatch, a highly respected game and it just got greedy all of a sudden.
-
ya know they go quick, but all I can say is play more or budget how you spend - which is more realistic and hey, it's not going to be sunset so if you don't get a good one now then maybe later
-
I struggle to save my shards so I’m kinda sol

Oh no, anyway…

1 ReplyIt's not just about "When Witchqueen came out". It's mainly a thing to reduce the inflated numbers of shards from long time players like me, who have like 30k shards.
-
I have over 11k shards.. I have zero plans to use them this week lol
-
100 shards? Doubt I've ever had a 100. Been playing for a long time but my resource management is horrible. Just as real life I live payday to payday. Needed glimmer the other day. Was about to change the mods on my ghost for farming, deleted the old ones and then realized I didn't even have 500 glimmer for the mod. And I couldn't buy any glimmer to slot a mod cause I had no shards or the right resources. The thought of using 100 shards to purchase mediocre weapons seems so counterproductive. Be passing on IB again.
-
Remember they are listening 🤣🤣 complained about it last season and no fix.
-
Yeah.. let me roll a crappy gun for that cost.. no. Going to the shitarch.
-
It's because Alot of players are just sitting on 2 million shards each While players like us only really have around 10 at a time most the time I'm at 0 cus of how i play The most iv ever had at a time was 2 years ago and I had 6k then I ended up using it all
