Expedition Ruffians need to be easier to kill so players aren't fighting against each other

So. The seasonal title for Plunder. Scallywag. You gotta kill 50 Ruffians in Expedition for one of the triumphs. Okay. Just learned from a blueberry why this is one of the worst objectives ever. I'm just trying to do a normal Expedition run. Get in, get my loot, get out. But I see one of my teammates is intentionally tossing the treasures way out into the middle of nowhere away from the drill and haul. Apparently he has to do that so he can slow the mission down enough to get the Ruffians to even spawn as well as have enough time to kill them before the haul reaching 100% causes them to despawn. Now personally I don't care. Like I said I just want my loot, and at first I kinda jumped on the guy cuz I'm thinking hey numbnuts what the heck are you griefing the mission for? But from what I've heard the Ruffians don't even spawn until you've been at a drill site for almost 3 minutes, and then despawn the moment the haul is full, so if you're just trying to do the mission efficiently you may not kill any at all. This...seems really bad? So if you've got someone on the team that wants Ruffian kills, and someone on the team that's just trying to, y'know, PLAY THE GAME, then you've got a team that is fighting against itself to complete/delay the activity. The obvious solution I see here is Ruffians need to spawn *way* sooner, I'm talking like immediately, so you can easily get like at least 2 per Expedition run. I feel kinda bad if I'm making it harder for my teammates to complete a certain objective they're chasing, but if I'm doing that simply because I'm trying to play the game normally, then that means something is deeply and severely wrong with the way this was designed. If players feel encouraged to not only ignore the main objective of the activity they're in, but to ACTIVELY SABOTAGE IT for the sake of completing some other external objective, we've got major problems.

  • He is dumb for throwing the treasure away. Since ruffians spawn at the 80% mark. Its not time based.

    • The game mode is majorly flawed. I do not even pick up the engrams now but rarely ever see a ruffian spawn or get killed because of players spamming the bank.

      • They just need to spawn earlier, like at the 50% mark. They drop treasures so they should be there for you to fill up the cart not only spawning at more than 90% full.

      • The simplest of simple fixes; change the code that causes the champ to despawn so it no longer does. Simple. You can spam treasure away and someone else can take their time getting the champ. I'm just going to solo script for 40 more champs because Bungie will never fixed this. The dupe glitch is back so yeah there's that.

        Bungie making a challenge or triumph that requires you to kill a specific enemy that only spawns if you take too long to get the job done, sounds about like pure bungie to me, of course they'd do that Bungie wants us to play like absolute bots, not be competent at the game, I'm sure that's how they playtested it Anyways, don't hate the player (those trying to kill Ruffs) hate the game (rigged by bungie, always has been)

      • Theres so many fixes for this, have them spawn on the opposite side from where a drill jammer spawns would be the best imo, that way it creates an interesting split in the team and you have them spawn guarantied. One person can take care of the jammer and the other two take care of the ruffian, how it is now its just one or two go to the jammer and the other(s) just sit on their -blam!- and wait. Real missed opportunity.
