Chaos accelerant = Not Worth, rest of void is fun though

now that charging the grenades doesn't increase their damage the "extra effects" don't justify the single fragment slot, also hand held supernova is basically unusable. Chaos accelerant really needs a buff otherwise there is no reason to run it, also why can't we enhance other grenades if it's meant to be 1 fragment?(considering that titan gets enhanced storm nades, which were warlock only originally)

  • It's the weakest of the charged grenade aspects. In part because of the charge, and in part because it only actually buffs 1 grenade, nerfing 2 and doing not much to Axioms. Other grenade aspects don't require a charge, and don't outright nerf half of your options.

  • Okay, so here’s my idea for how to fix Chaos Accelerant, and make it worth only having one fragment slot: First, remove the penalty to super generation while holding charge. It’s needless. Vortex Grenades: - Add a constant succ to this Grenade (instead of just an initial pull on contact) that constantly draws enemies in along with a 25% damage boost. Keep all other current effects Axion Bolt Grenade: - Add one more bolt, and add weakening as a side effect. Keep all other current effects. Scatter: - Remove tracking. Instead, make it a larger AoE, and have it do a carpet bombardment that spreads outward. No longer a scatter Grenade, now a scatter bombardment lol. Magnetic: - Make HHSN and actual supernova lol. Release a nebulous cloud of void energy at a slinger range than current with bolts (representing stars) scattered everywhere inside, that will track and attack to enemies caught inside and detonate after a small delay. Applies volatile. This keeps with the name and has it make SOME sense to be paired with magnetic Grenade lol. This would make a decent ad clear option with the potential to do a fair bit of damage to majors if the bolts have a long enough tracking distance. These are all just my opinion on what would make it better and worth the one slot and charge-up. Shoot, I would even prefer to get rid of ONE of those along with all of this. Either give us two fragment slots and keep the charge up, or get rid of the charge up and keep one fragment slot. Idk, maybe we should get two fragment slots AND say goodbye to the charge up, considering how effective how effective most of the “Touch of (insert element)” aspects are on other classes/subclasses lol.

    • Accelerant, plus contraverse, vortex, weaken fragment, duration fragment. Boom a vortex nade build that is quite disgusting. Credit to the Plunder guy

      • It's never directly increased damage to the grenades. Although Vortex seems that way because of the extended duration and radius. That was the only one worth charging up for with Chaos Accelerant imo. I generally use the Void Wall grenades now and focus more on zone control with that and CotOG.

            • HandHeld Supernova would probably not work if Charge stopped existing. And Contraverse Holds would have to be removed or reworked entirely.

            • Here is what is funny. For Void Lock you.always had to charge up the grenade (pre void 3.0) and now you still have to charge up the grenade with the aspect. But Arc 3.0 Titan... Has the same perks for new Grenade abilities with the new Aspect... They DNT need to charge up. So, perhaps change the Void Aspect to simply make the Grenades do the extra ability with no charging ? If not, then they should add MORE ABILITIES to the other Void Grenades for the Warlock. Imagine a Void wall that when charged now spreads out into a X pattern and is much wider of a wall. Suppressor grenade could have a explode on impact effect with wider radius. And Magnetic would have the default double explosion with a passive If killed, target explodes into void aoe.

Each light archetype has more grenades than stasis does since stasis was designed from the beginning with the idea that the nades would be shared. There isn't much I flat out dislike about light 3.0 but giving everyone all of the nades seems like it was a bit much. Granted if they didn't do so super nova wouldn't exist anymore and titans wouldn't have the roaming cloud anymore. But still, it feels like there was almost no point in giving each class all nades if only specific ones would be usable with touch of x/chaos.

              • Did they really nerf the damage of the grenades? I haven’t noticed. If I’m going to use it, it’s going to be for Overcharged Vortex grenades. The increase to size really helps lock down anything that isn’t a spawn door. And it’s the best Grenade to get multiple Controverse activations due to its extended duration. Don’t know if the charged axion bolts are any good, but for scatter just use nothing manacles.

                  • 150 to the face is still considerable dmg to take though dealing with warlocks hearing from me another warlock won't change anything, most warlock mains try to see the bad before any good and assume warlocks that do well are the best of the best. I have a chaos accelerant build but warlocks have to accept the fact that you're going to have to chain 2 abilities to emulate a 1 shot , yes it sucks and for the 1 millionth time yes I know titans and hunters have 1 shots but until Bungie give us a 1 shot use what we got rather than accept certain defeat and play like fools. If hunters can adapt so can we, we gotta stop the weak mentality or FTR.

                    Agreed. I've also heard the idea thrown out that the charging mechanic should get removed from Chaos Accelerant, and just be added to Contraverse Hold instead. I'd be all for that.
