SUGGESTION: Do NOT blame player-specific networking for Bungie server or network problems.

It is a HUGE waste of player time when Bungie blames player networking for their own server or network problems. No amount of troubleshooting a player’s own network settings, hardware, and service will help when all of those things are working properly but Bungie’s servers or network are not. No error code can help a player troubleshoot a problem when the problem is on Bungie’s side. Why waste the time of potentially many thousands of players by misleading them about their connections when a game client can EASILY check internet connection statuses beyond its own servers? For example: 1. When game servers seem to be unreachable, check off-network status beacons. 2. Log status beacon requests along with potential issues from clients. 3. Continually analyze beacon requests and correlate with relevant info from game servers if and when available. 4. Report issues to clients as appropriate, ONLY suggesting troubleshooting if client connections ACTUALLY seem to be down. Be TRUTHFUL with players when problems are due to Bungie issues. I am available for hire if Bungie wants an experienced designer, developer, and tester to improve its UI, UX, and quality problems. I can’t fix bugs in a complex 3D game, but I can design, test, and refine systems to improve UI, UX, and error-handling.

When the issue is on Bungie's end or within Bungie's range of effect, as it is now at the time of my reply, it's well-known that it's on Bungie's end or something preventing things on Bungie's end, as it affects nearly all, if not all, of the player base. When the issue is not on Bungie's end, then, unfortunately, it's not on Bungie's end, and Bungie can do nothing about it. When the majority of players can connect to the servers and play just fine, and small groups or individuals cannot connect to those servers that are up and in perfectly fine working order, that is when the troubleshooting is suggested, as, again, Bungie cannot do anything at all about things that are outside of their own systems. Your suggestion seems to imply that the latter issue is still something Bungie can fix, but Bungie cannot; we and Bungie can only recommend troubleshooting because that's literally the only thing we can do. - If you'd like to leave feedback to Bungie concerning the systems in place or recommendations, you should post over in the Destiny 2 - Feedback forum, as that's the area for player feedback. Help is here for issues and the like, and since you're suggesting something for a change in the company instead of asking for help with an issue, your words would best be used there. If you're looking to work for Bungie, you can see what's available and apply here: https://careers.bungie.com/jobs .
