And it doesn't. Lobbybalancing is still pisspoor...

4 RepliesI like SBMM and don't mind occasional rough conneections, but I don't think it's even working. Shouldn't it be around 50%~ Chance To Win every time? My last 10 Matches 11% Chance To Win - Loss 33% Chance To Win - Loss 32% Chance To Win - Loss (bad connection game) 13% Chance To Win - Loss 68% Chance To Win - Win 37% Chance To Win - Loss 21% Chance To Win - Loss 30% Chance To Win - Loss (3 chinese players on my team, connection was horrible I could barely move) 64% Chance To Win - Win 54% Chance To Win - Win

5 RepliesNo SBMM is working fine for the casual , average players .. We are not seeing the 4 to 6 stacks of sweats purposely pubstomping .. The players who are seeing issues now are either whinging sweats who can’t pubstomp anymore or those who artificially inflated their KD’s by stomping weaker players in groups or by the use of tools.

Edited by kellygreen45: 9/5/2022 6:37:17 PMWith SBMM, Lobby balancing is unnecessary. Because everyone in the lobby has a similar skill level. You’re seeing the remnants of CBMM and what people did to defeat it.

4 RepliesEdited by Dubufu: 9/5/2022 5:34:45 AMTwo years ago, Bungie removed SBMM from control to increase player retention and to prioritize quality in a game with outdated peer to peer connections. And it worked. Games felt stable, and Bungie went on record to say that the crucible population spiked after SBMM's removal. I have no idea what kind of lapse in judgement made them bring it back, but I can't wait for them to remove it again for the same exact reason.

14 RepliesForced losses. Get use to them. If you're a top tier player who plays with other top players. You sit in orbit for 15 minutes while Bungie attempts to find people who can beat your team.
-
3 RepliesSBMM only works if the population grows and isn’t compromised of mostly sweats. This is common sense, it’s gonna take a whole season to get things back on track. You guys complain after every subclass rework as well and every one has been awesome..
-
7 RepliesDepends upon how loose the SBMM is and by all accounts it's quite tight. With such SBMM we don't need lobby balancing - that's the CBMM doomed-to-fail from the outset methodology. What we DO need however, is Freelance.
-
True. In the lower skill bracket it may works atm but the most average in my list have the same feeling like last season, completely uneven matches. The lobbybalancing is pretty bad.
-
SBMM works with (1) lobby balancing, and (2) dedicated servers which are both missing 😂😂
-
I am 100% pro sbmm and absolutely agree with this. Sbmm is just half the job done and makes little sense without doing the other half.

Edited by Hero: 9/5/2022 2:26:50 PMYep. 3.17 kda here. I scroll around the pre game screen and see a bunch of 1.5’s and 1.6’s on my team and it’s like, welp, time to lose. 🤷🏻♂️ I think my win rate is around 17% this season 🤣. I try to cap, try to team shoot, still lose. 🤣

Both dont work. Both together makes it 10x worse.

Edited by boi: 9/4/2022 3:58:28 PMExactly on the money; I’ve tried to bring this up but I only got “you’re complaining because you’re a sweat” responses lol :( I’m not even that good

Lobby balancing is still hot garbage.
-
That’s bc sbmm is terrible. Not to mention you will only see a more significant skill gap afterwards

1 ReplyTrue true true …… Lobby balancing is the real issue which is still not addressed or even mentioned as far as I am aware
