I’m enjoying it too. For me it feels less sweaty. Do I try? Sure. But not that much. Not nearly as much as I used to at times. And I’ve been having fun with different play styles. It feels more like when you’re playing for fun with friends and family in split screen or a LAN party. You want to win, and it feels good when you do, but the moment to moment experiences in the match feel so much fun that taking a Loss barely registers.
I want Bungie to find a way that above average and highly skilled players can also have a fun experience. I don’t think going 100% back to 100% CBMM in crucible is the way to go. But I hope there is a solution that these players don’t always feel like they have to play hard, where the margin for error is much less forgiving than in my skill bracket, where their match times can be maybe 120 seconds or less, with decent enough connections.
I have thoughts on how, but not my call. In the mean time I’ll continue to enjoy SBMM again, like I did 3 years ago. I’m a bot walking scrub and I don’t care, and I still want to have fun. I’m happy for the change.

Mostly they have been complaining about stuff like people playing meta load outs and 3 peaking corners etc. The thing is though that’s how they all play at that level and it’s dirty and sweaty and not fun to go against but they all do it whether it’s SBMM or CBMM. I’m sorry they don’t like there own play style. It’s like trials. Every other match was a dang Omni hunter if not 2 with lord of the wolves.

Agreed. And so many of them played CBMM like that too. It’s not like they all eased up, never used cover, and started shooting wild just because they were in a lobby with scrubs. Nope they still clutched a special weapon and played like a “we ran medal” would give them an adept weapon drop.
