That's because the ranges are waaaaaaaaaaaaay out of balance. That needs to be fixed ASAP. Every weapon should have its own unique place. Because of Bungie's habit of catering to streamers preferred loadouts, that has been wrecked. Takes all of 1 decision and maybe 30 minutes of coding to sort it out.

well atleast we have ammit. I still think smgs are more fun. ARs just feel clunky. SMGs are basically ARs tbh

Edited by ITZ Baddy: 9/3/2022 11:12:55 PMRight so, examples would be Shotty 3-5 meters depending on archetype Sidearm 5-9 meters Hand cannon 9-15 meters Etc etc Until that gets sorted, they've put themselves in a box they created for themselves by catering to the top 2% of pvp players. Also, they patently refuse to use the dual sandboxes they so lavishly heaped praises upon their own head for having, though they resist using them until all other options are out the window instead of being their first option. It's like a mechanic having access to an air impact wrench set but refusing to use it to break a tire lug free and, instead, insist on using a set of pliers instead. It's some of the goofiest decision making I've ever seen. Also, their engine is horrifically outdated. Just the way it is. This is the same engine used in HaloCE. It was outdated by 2005ish. Not that it was a bad engine for what it was designed for but it simply can't handle the intricacies built into the game. It wasn't designed for it. Halo CE was a very straight to the point game. You had no "space magic". Everyone moved at the same speed, the weapons were the same for everyone with designated ranges and damages, etc etc. That's not remotely the case here. What's happened is they've attempted to jam all the space magic into something that was never designed to handle it, with the frankly expected results. When you enter code line x, domino row y is supposed to take place. What happens currently is that not only does domino row y fall, but the whole table collapses, spins around the room scattering the dominos to the winds, flies out the chimney, kicks the dog, and kicks in the neighbor's front door. Not what is supposed to happen.
