I believe they tweeted out they wouldn't do it because their game reaches players globally, or something to that extent. Happened around the time they celebrated an lbgt emblem on veterans day if I remember correctly.

Yes, people play Destiny around the world, but Bungie is still an American company. Plus, a lot of countries celebrate holidays equivalent to Veteran's Day, like Armistice Day in the United Kingdom. I don't have a problem with them including an emblem for the LGBTQ community, and honestly it was pretty stupid for people to be outraged about it, because I think it was more of the fact that they included the LGBTQ emblem in the first place than not having one for Veteran's Day. I wouldn't be opposed to them adding a Veteran's emblem though, because, even though I'm not a veteran myself, I'd still like to show my support for them. To say the US military isn't perfect would be a huge understatement, and I understand why people think that. However, you can still support those who serve in the military while being opposed to the conflict and the people responsible for it. Take Vietnam for example, there was no reason for us to be there, and many of the people who fought were only there because they were drafted. When they came home, people treated them like garbage. Not to mention those who suffered physical and mental scars because they were forced to fight. I know people will probably still reply with things like "oh so you support going to war so the rich can get richer" and things like that, but before you do, please read my post carefully.

Yeah it makes sense. When bungie had mentioned why they don't, i had said Call of Duty has supported the wounded warrior project and they are global as well. Bungie just chooses not to IMO but can't really say that to save face. Regardless, they are a private company so they can do as they wish.
