Why do you people love rigged matches and forced 50% W/L ratios?

It’s the opposite. CBMM felt like there were ringers on the other team.

The biggest problem with Halo 3 was a visible rank. I agree it was a pretty good system. But since the rank was visible (I can’t remember if there were rewards for reaching rank), it was crushing when your rank would drop. It’s a psychological thing. I was probably exactly where I should be, but it looked like I was punished more than rewarded. Part of that reason was rank points were awarded for a team win, and deducted for a team loss. Individual performance didn’t factor in. This was then taken advantage of by players trying to boost their rank up to 50. Had the rankings been invisible it would have largely gone unnoticed. Everyone would fall in their rank, and always be with players similar to them, except for maybe that time a really good player was in your lobby on their way up the ranks. Whether a rank based on wins and losses or a far more complicated method, the result in D2 would be about the same. The place everyone would want to be is with all the average players, not in the top ranks.
