I don't have a problem with sbmm, I'm a 1.5 kd player that goes flawless usually. Im not sure were to place myself on the skill scale, i would guess im average at best. One thing I will say is keep sbmm out of trials, and when those same players that love sbmm play trials they will be in for a surprise when the competitive flood gates open.

They literally can’t put sbmm in trials so no need to worry

Trials will always be that way regardless of SBMM. control was either stomp or be stomped. It’s way more competition and even and it allows for actual growth now.

I think many people who wanted SBMM have played trials. Many are the same that demand Bungie make the freelance mode per moment. Unless IB gets SBMM next week it too will be the old stomping mercy play list we’ve had in the past. Maybe, the new mode will alleviate that a bit, like Scorch or Mayhem do. But I don’t think Trials will surprise that many people in it’s punishing nature toward the less skill. That’s how it’s always been. But that doesn’t mean we won’t see all the posts demanding Trials get SBMM either. Because the average and below average players have a taste of how much better matches can feel for them. Just like when they demanded freelance in Trials and demanded it be permanent. I’ve said it many times before. Unless Bungie changes the point of Trials, to go flawless as the primary goal, I don’t think SBMM or Freelance have a place. Allowing solo players was to boost the population. To give fodder to even lesser skilled teams to maybe go flawless. To encourage a solo player to say “hey, maybe I could go flawless if I just had a team.” And to entice solo players Bungie made a bunch of loot very accessible. I don’t mind the bribe at all.

That’s why also trials needs sbmm and lucky that bungie agrees they have stated “ controll will be the first playlist but we are introducing it to Al playlist” so f-ppl with high skill find you’re own game.

No. Any mode that gives good rewards should reward for skill and not participation.
No. Any mode that gives good rewards should reward for skill and not participation.
Well if that were the case you’d never see casual or average skill and below playing it. Allowing solo queue players would have helped the Trials population for all of a week, until solo players learned that they were just going to be free kills for the more skilled 3 stack teams, and without wins there would be no loot in it for them. That being said, I have very few issues with the current form of Trials. I don’t care about flawless. But once I got the loot I want I’m not longer going to lose 20 games in a row. So I’m fine with Trials not getting SBMM. Or if it does it’s only in the freelance mode on the week’s that is around. Though I’m kind of iffy on freelance. While I enjoy it personally, I feel like it defeats the purpose of allowing solo players to even participate in Trials.

Bungie does cater for low skill casuals, so that would be why.
so f-ppl with high skill find you’re own game.
This is the kind of stuff you end up with when you encourage people to be stupid. So if it fails its not going to be the peoples' fault that said not to encourage this.
