I love the constant action and variety. You're constantly progressing and no encounter outstays it's welcome. The boss rooms dump a euphoric amount of enemies like a Diablo 3 Rift Run and its all topped of with A.I summons and emoting, a cool intro, a gorgeous skybox, and fun music and dialogue.
If it dropped a bit more loot at the end, it would be the best seasonal activity by far ⛵️
Edit: I realized that yall were going for gameplay variety with a payout by chaining the different activities so we don't get bored of just running Ketchcrash and Expedition DOES give you tons of enemies to kill. What I would've done is create a currency that drops from Expeditions to open a secret room with a chest on Ketchcrash so it's immediately rewarding again after Expeditions 👍

Meh... I like it that it doesn't stop momentum with slowing down the mode but jumping through the same hoop that we jumped 100 millionth time didn't really give the Pirate or boarding a ship feeling. I was hoping for an activity with more action and movement based on "pirate theme" claims. But it's better than what we had before. Making 2 activities to pad the play time was the expected part from Bungie but I can ignore that due to pattern drops being increased considerably which I absolutely love. My suggestion to Bungie don't use themes like this if you aren't committing to it with the activity. I wished the objectives were divided into several different ships that are located around the main Ketch where we jump to ships on our own (not with a hoop that you can't fall off of)

1 ReplyTbh if they made something like d3 rifts and it gave out seasonally rotating loot relevant to the season with some map refreshes based on new added areas they could go a long way towards adding replayability with minimal costs. Putting a mixture of some of the objective based areas into something like that would keep things interesting.

This is probably the nest seasonal activity we had. Thats not saying much since the rest were trash but this one is actually pretty good.

Only problem I have is the variety of encounters. Instead of 4 different encounters I’d like 6-7. Other than that it’s awesome. The boss fights are very well done. Bravo Bungo

I dig it. I don't think it is very pirate or ship-themed in nature, but I like the pacing, and running around the "ship" feels like a mini-raid. The layout of each space also makes team cooperation easy, even if we're all solo players. I'm getting sick of Expeditions, especially playing with people who don't get the concept of killing Ruffians.

3 RepliesI think my only issue with it is I wish they let you do more actually on the ship. Like have a team doing stuff on the ship like keeping the cannons going etc while another boards and kicks -blam!-

Ketchcrash [i]would[/i] be my favorite seasonal activity so far (least disliked, whichever), [i]if[/i] we actually got to use the cannons or if it felt at all like ship to ship combat. As it is now, I don’t really “feel” like I’m weakening and then boarding another ship, it’s just more “run here, shoot this” with the pirate theme existing more in my head than on the screen. Which is par for the course for most things in Destiny these days.

Cant lie, the Pirate Ketch ship battles is probably one of the best seasonal activities we've had, the activity is generally a fun experience.
