As someone who served, why would I need an emblem??
Did 11 years as a Marine and got medically retired, why would I need an emblem in a video game.
It is silly.
I am grateful to be alive more than anything.

That is it. The legend itself.

Thank you If you serve than demand emblems in video games you enlist for the wrong reason
-
Agreed. It is silly. Just another entitled complex in a space designed for fun.
-
Thank you for your service man

Thank you for your support.

All veterans want to do at this point is just sit down and chill with the rest of us. Treat them with respect as you would anyone else, acknowledge their boundaries. They don’t want any over the top pandering. Thank you for your service. -
Agreed and thank you for your support.

I see this as more of an inclusion issue that Bungie repeatedly ignores. I understand that directly showing support for one country or branch is out of the question and something I'd not want them to do. However, most every country has some form of veteran or way of showing support to vets. Usually its in the symbol of the poppy flower. When the company continues to praise themselves on being inclusive about various groups of ethnic and identity, yet purposefully excludes veterans and refuses to even acknowledge them, that's called hypocrisy and Bungie should be called out for it.

Edited by hate n payne: 9/4/2022 11:10:22 AMUnderstandable. I look at it like this, nobody has a choice on where and who they were born to. However the military is no different from a job where you have a choice in the matter on what you desire to be. I respect your support and opinion on the matter.

Thank you for your service

Edited by olderfella: 9/3/2022 4:48:01 AMNobody said anything about need, it is a want for some. I agree with you but the choice should be given.
-
True enough. I am not about the emblem but if others are then it is their choice on the matter.

100%. Don't need to advertise. Most people that do are tools. I rocked 22, and now I'm just like everyone else. I am of the opinion you should never advertise no matter your profession, position, possessions, etc.

Edited by hate n payne: 9/3/2022 3:22:40 AMExactly. I just want to be normal if that is even an option. Getting asked about the military experience is the most annoying thing ever to me. Because people try to always compare it to COD or some shooter and makes me want to punch them in the throat. I have lost and seen too many people eat the bullet for someone to be asking for some emblem because they served. It is like comparing us to the groups who want to change their livelihood.

Most of my military buds can not play COD.
-
I hate the game honestly. I used to play it a lot when I was in but I started to lose faith for it with frustration included.
-
Edited by olderfella: 9/3/2022 7:20:14 PMI know we may not see eye to eye in the forums but you are more than welcome to play the new COD coming out in October with us. You are also more than welcome to play with us here in Destiny, olive branch. No military talk though, just gaming and fun.
-
Appreciate the offer but I have to pass. Also I do not believe in discussing military when I am online. Makes me feel weird discussing it with people who has not served or served and lost others. Not everybody is going to see eye to eye and thats fine. Everything is opinion based and it is what makes us human

Ngl tho, I as a NON-service member want an emblem to support you. To show that I appreciate your service. Whether you don't want that or not is up to you. But I for one would like to show support anyways
-
I respect that. I cannot disrespect that approach. However for me I do not need an emblem. It is your choice and right in which you were given. Thank you though.

Always

Stay blessed and thanks to God for your support.
