The traveler is not benevolent. It does not care about us specifically. It only seeks to prevent the final shape and continue its existence. It has used us to fight its war. The reason the hive got the light is because it believed savathun was its best chance at survival. We doomed the traveler by slaying savathun.

Considering with the Traveler hidden in the throneworld the Witness would of slaughtered the entire cosmos and then break in to finish them off? That path would of led to everyone’s destruction. The Gardner knows that to save the cosmos, not everyone will survive. What’s more important, saving every single person but losing in the end or sacrificing the few so the many can live? That’s the harsh truth. Besides, we’ve seen the Gardner speak about it’s feelings on what species do with her gifts. Benevolent but respectful of our right to determine our future. Would you want the Traveler to dictate to us? That would only cause problems.

But....she does have a ghost. So theatrically she can come back and finish her ritual. The guardians just need to stop being petty that they aren’t the chosen snowflakes anymore

Exactly. Too bad the name “lightfall” likely is not good for the traveler. The whole witch queen campaign was “omg guys how could the traveler give the light to the hive they’re EVIL!!!!!” When the fallen saw us the same way. The traveler never once said it fights for us. It only released the ghosts as a last resort since rasputin weakened it when it tried to leave.

Rasputin didn’t shoot the Traveler. And even if he did, he would not have hurt it even remotely.

After seeing what happened to rasputin in season of the arrivals, i really dont know why people still believe rasputin coukd have done anything at all against the traveler.

That never happened.
