I wanted to ask if anyone else experienced this, but there is one thing I noticed, this happened with CBMM too, but I think it's becoming a bit more prominent with SBMM.
I noticed that I have like 1-3 really good games in a row, then for the next 5 ish it's a sweat fest, or I get weird balancing, or you get leavers, then the cycle repeats. This is practically the same situation I find modern cod being in, where your "skill" seems so transient that it just determines you to be high skill for one game, then lower for the next etc.
Maybe it's just placebo idk

Right? I think there are unforeseen consequences being lost in discussion about this issue

There is very little real discussion. It's mostly a bunch of ersatz pundits spouting lies and empty platitudes.

Edited by hate n payne: 9/3/2022 3:12:04 AMYea that is happening for me or has happening recently in the past few days. I had one mercy match and it went all downhill from there. At least the matches are not mercy ones though. Ill take a L if it means for the match to go to time or score.

Edited by Obscure Meme: 9/3/2022 4:17:44 AMIt's extremely frustrating having half your team or more leave on you because all the others usually follow suit if you didn't already. I will say I have had less mercies so far but it's probably negligible percentage wise - I agree with taking an L is better though lol

Edited by hate n payne: 9/3/2022 8:02:08 AMYea players leaving could have many factors catered to it. When I leave, it is mostly due to the map. If I do not like the map, I am going to leave due to lack of diversity within the rotation. Honestly, players have a right to leave where they dont find interest or fun in it regardless if it is CBMM or SBMM. The game’s core components or concepts have been neglected for so long so leaving should not be a punishment because the game is already in settled state of neglect.

I normally leave in situations like if the stack on my team leaves, but not much else. I can live with a crappy map if my team stays; hell I'm even glad to play on anomaly or exodus blue cuz then I can use autos lol. But yeah the map thing is understandable especially considering there's no way to tell what map you get until you load in. I think penalizing players is a bad move for sure in this Playlist. Especially in the cases that I leave which is just in situations where it's like a 1v6 or something dumb like that

Agreed. There are not that many maps I would leave from. I am not a fan of maps that are extremely or detrimental to the class I am on. I hate Disjunction and Twilight Gap because there are too many jumping areas or clutter to make the map feel good for any weapon. I am always cool with losing because I get the same loot either way but when the bad outweigh the good for me, why should I stay. I definitely agree punishing players for leaving is stupid. It is not the player’s fault the experience for them is bad, it is the core issues in place.
