I've never really had a problem with this happening to much if I'm gonna be honest, occasionally yes but that's just Destiny. If somebody kills me on purpose during an activity then it's no revives for them if they happen to go down.
As for the solo strikes I'd love this, it would definitely make them more playable.
I can't understand why the option to match make or not has never been available in all activities, if you had both then it would be the players choice. Maybe it's a server issue or something of that nature , I'm no game dev so I can't say.
If this was implemented into PvP also with the sbmm V cbmm issue, so that players could choose which they prefere to play it would solve so many issues.
Once again I'm no dev so not sure how hard this would be to achieve, but giving gamers a choice is hardly ever a bad option.

Nightfalls already do it, hero is matchmade and legend isn't.

Yeah but matchgame makes a huge difference to what load out you can run as a solo player, one has it the other doesn't.

It's an observation that the lower level Nightfall ie the hero is match made and can not be played solo but doesn't have match game in it. If you want to try and solo the nightfall it's not achievable until legend and then you have to contend with match game, which straight away narrows your choice of load outs down to very few options. My original post was mainly about giving activities like strikes more playability by making match making optional just to add some fun.. Not every Nightfall is playable solo only the harder versions, we're not all Esoterikk.. I can't see the problem with having a choice apart from maybe slightly longer que times for matchmaking.
