Hello,
For about the last month I have been experiencing one of two types of errors while playing D2 on Steam with a wired connection. I'm in the Seattle area with a gigabit ISP. I will either get a "Contacting Destiny Servers" popup and then get booted to the login screen with a WEASEL code without fail, but can immediately log back in. Or I will get an occasional ANTEATER error that makes me respawn at the load in for the activity, as though I went to orbit and back. The WEASEL code is far more common.
I have checked my network settings, replaced my network switch, checked my wires, and even factory reset my Google router. I am not forwarding any ports. The only thing that seems to make them stop is having switched to WIFI instead of a wired connection. When I'm on wireless, I don't seem to get any errors. Any suggestions for what I should try to do next?

Sorry to say, but welcome to the club. This has been an issue since Witch Queen launched. Bungie will not acknowledge it as an issue and just refers everyone to the network troubleshooting guide. I have no issues with any other game I play. I've followed the troubleshooting guide and even had my ISP replace my modem with a brand new one. I've tried bypassing my router altogether and this still happens. I run wired as well, and I had zero issues pre WQ. Many people have this problem and post on this forum, and Bungie still won't acknowledge it. I don't play trials or anything ranked due to the possibility of a ban based on disconnects. Hoping for news everyday.
