PvP is in a very very good state currently and Bungies stats on the new SBMM changes prove it … Games are much more enjoyable and last the full time .. People can actually complete crucible bounties and quests.. The games are far better balanced overall..
But let’s be 100% honest the only ones crying and complaining over this now are the same ones who can’t pubstomp easy kills and easy wins to artificially inflate their KD

Edited by Dubufu: 9/7/2022 8:53:08 PMYou say this like it's pretty cut and dry. There was a crossover event which translates to a spike in players. New raids and content means more people are checking out the game from a Free-To-Play perspective - including PVP. Might I add that two years ago, Bungie also recorded a significant spike in PVP players after SBMM was removed. Please don't view honeymoon phases as solid information. Usually these things need a month or three to stew in order to accurately record player retention.
-
You seem to forget we had 4 years of the toxic cesspit called CBMM .. Anyone with half a brain can see the vast improvement in pvp
-
Edited by Dubufu: 9/7/2022 10:00:37 PMYes...and three years of destiny WITH SBMM before it's eventual removal in 2020. Back then anybody with "half a brain" recognized that as a good choice. Not really any different from now as the obvious biases are showing. Like I said - stop looking at the honeymoon phase within a vacuum. Time will answer player retention rates.
-
that post was 100% biased. Yes... SBMM is why more people returned. Nothing to do with a fortnite crossover, or a new raid, or a new season of story content. okay...
-
Fortnite, Story are not crucible numbers .. Bungie even stated that people stayed in the crucible games longer and played more .. if the experience wasn’t good then they certainly wouldn’t stay longer ..
-
new people came cause of crossover. new old raid likely got new players. those people likely jumped into cruci. the twab numbers are 100% biased af.
-
No you just assume they are … they can very well reflect people coming back to crucible because it’s not as toxic as it was over the past few years .. It also says people stayed in crucible longer more than likely because there were no toxic sweats ruining there game experience.. I play a lot of crucible but last few seasons I just barely did the 3 for pinnacle then left the toxic cesspit caused by sweats in stacks purposely stomping , others I know did the same and it was a common theme on forums and chat..
-
no. I looked at the numbers and the amount of content, plus the fact they didn't compare it to a similar season with the same amount of content. it's biased AF. as are you.
-
You are just upset because you can’t stomp easy kills and wins anymore .. You figured out that you actually have to play and maybe even do the objective instead of mindlessly running around in stacks killing far weaker players … You are finally seeing what the average player base had to put up with for 4 years .. Why should we care about what you think after what state crucible was left in after sweats stomping ruined it..
-
dude I never run stacked. check my history, you clown. i solo queue and my most used weapon is crimil's this season. i dont even use meta. gfy.
-
No not at all. Middle of the pack players, that are above average but not stupid good get matched with the upper echelon because the way its formulated, match me with a bunch of 2.0 or higher instead of 1.5 and below.
-
Edited by IRISH S3NSEI: 9/1/2022 11:15:08 PMWell the lower skilled players were constantly matched with the top tiers and that lead to the purposely organised stompfests by sweats that we saw .. KD in games were 10 , 16 , 25 etc this went on for 4 years plus .. You don’t like the current because you have to play with skill instead of mindlessly stomping a easy win.. I have said CBMM was the toxic trash it turned into be because the top tiers exploit the weaker players to purposely boost their precious KD .. The best solution would be 3 tiers if we only have 2 now .. but I don’t know exactly what we do have .. all I do know is it is a hell of a lot better than the last 4 years
-
So because I'm middle of the pack I should have to play with nothing but upper tier? That makes 0 sense. I don't care about having to play with skill. I care about going into a Playlist where I shouldn't have to be sweating my nuts off constantly to manage. Say what you want but the formula they use is busted. And it's only going to get worse. Especially when the player bade falls off like it always does. And then they're going to back fill lobbies with higher bracket players. And then the little "yay sbmm" is going to be hated like connection. Easiest solution put in a solo Playlist.

Whether it is one or six the sweats will openly use the skill gap to boost their KD they don’t want balance or a level playing field.. I also said 3 tiers would be the best solution.. upper , middle and lower.. is it possible , can it be done I have no idea on that .. Why are you caring all of a sudden .. where were all your cares over the past 4 years or more while the lower skilled players had to sweat and get farmed in the toxic cesspit created by CBMM .. But then you said you don’t care about needing skill , so why should we care about your concerns ..
-
What you said makes no sense. I don't care about skill in the sense, as I shouldn't have to in a social Playlist. Its not comp or trials. And those are vastly under played. Why can't we have control sbmm and clash cbmm calling a day
-
if they're bringing in this quitting protection bs, then they have to make clash a permanent playlist.
-
Oh clash that’s right I keep forgetting during the past few years under CBMM the sweats or others had no idea , no intention of doing the objective ie.. capture the zone.. They thought they were to good for doing the objective or just had zero idea why.. Now I see why you don’t like it because you have to actually work and do the objective just like the game intends ..
-
What? All I suggested was two game variants. I cap zones and play the objective. Stop being defensive like I'm attacking you. You don't know me or the way I play. You're assuming everything. Just like I. Assuming your the bottom tier since you're so defensive. Middle of the pack players are always the ones to suffer. Because sooner or later you lower echelon guys will just stop playing and it'll be just us and the sweats. Like always anyway.
-
I am going by the past few years .. sweats , higher skilled players outrightly refuse to capture zones .. they are lazy pure and simple .. We don’t need two modes because the lazy,s would just do clash because objective based gaming too hard for them.. If as you say the middle tier are suffering just bring in 3 tiers and relegate players based on skill to appropriate tier .. review tiers , KD regularly to ensure players are in right grouping .,
-
It doesn't work. As there aren't ever enough players at once. So we get stuck with higher end players because it's closer in skill.
