What do y'all think? Last mission: The Last Disciple.
After losing a character or two and beating Xivu Arath, The Witness does something to the Traveler and drags it into a different dimension where the Raid takes place: Finality
It would feel like a step down to fight Xivu Arath in the next saga after the Witness imo.

I have no inside knowledge of plot points of Destiny 2 and any theories posted here are my own based off public information.[/b] My theory is for the Witness relies on the fact Ghosts were never created by the Traveler for any previous civilization. Which makes me wonder: What changed about Earth? Well, for one, the Traveler didn't get to leave before the Collapse happened, whereas all other civilizations it abandoned it left BEFORE their respective societal falls. So my theory for Final Shape is thus: The Ghosts were created by a collective effort of Savathun, Rasputin, and YOU the player. Yes you. Why? Because I think with the way the planets are coming back and are stretched across time that when we finally get to fight the Witness we will be fighting him in both the Future and the Past. The reason the Witness never finished off the Traveler and Earth in the last collapse is not yet mentioned, but Witch Queen seemed to imply Savathun had something to do with why. So I think Final Shape we fight the Witness, both in our current time and in the past during the Collapse, and in the process create a Perfect Paradox of our own story in which we are both the reason Guardians are created in the first place... and simultaneously the final guardian to the fight the Witness in our own timeline.
