Skill Issue
-
You’re absolutely right. It’s an issue for people with skill. Your bot lobbies don’t have these problems 😂
-
Adding a hefty suspension also solves this. SBMM isn't the issue. Stacks who don't want their KD to decrease since they aren't able to play worse players all the time are the problem. Anyone decent could get a 10 KD against bad players, especially in a stack. Now you don't get to just play bad players anymore.
-
Suspend people who leave a match they don’t enjoy? Weird. This energy wasn’t here for CBMM 😂
-
So I guess we should have been penalising leavers in CBMM too? Leavers in QP aren't the same as leavers in comp, leave it be or the whole game will just be comp and nobody wants that.
-
Lucky there doing this.. and ppl like him won’t have a changes to pet there kd stat
-
Exactly. I’m straight terrible at PVP, I hardly play the game mode. Even I could have a 10KD if I played against new lights. The proper response to this is “man I really need to step up my game” not “remove SBMM so my KD can stay at 10”
-
Exactly. I’m straight terrible at PVP, I hardly play the game mode.
Yet you are delusional enough to think pvp changes should be made for you and others like you at the expense of those who play the modes the most and enjoy them
-
Adding a hefty suspension also solves this.
Unplug your Ethernet cord and congrats, you've forced a connection-based disconnect and not an intentional quit. Your "solution" fails once again and the people who are really intent on quitting will still be able to quit. SBMM is the problem.
-
Connection based disconnects often count as leaving a match too. Suspend that too. My solution doesn’t fail. With Ethernet you’re never going to disconnect enough times to rack up a huge suspension. So this doesn’t hurt the players who disconnect occasionally at all. You’re literally leaving matches because you can’t annihilate the other team. It’s so pathetic. SBMM is not the issue.
-
Your solution fails immediately by forcing the game into a more competitive state, you're trapped in a ame where you just aren't having a good time? Well this one rando says you have to stay otherwise you can't play because we're treating quickplay like its competitive now.

My solution doesn’t fail.
So you not only harm the people who intentionally quit (which is fair), but are advocating for a dragnet global ban on any connection-based disconnection, even those that are almost always Bungie's fault. What a brilliant decision that would almost certainly not backfire.
-
If you are quitting a match just because you are losing the problem isn't SBMM. It's you.
-
Bungie provides no incentive for players to stay in their own game. 100% of the effort is demanded from them for 0% of the loot. People are going to bail. The problem is SBMM, Bungie, and everyone crying for it.
-
"it's everyone else's fault but mine" Very good and mature way to go through life.
"it's everyone else's fault but mine" Very good and mature way to go through life.
Didn't know a video game was real life. Stop taking everything so seriously and literally. Bungie failing to provide a LOOT incentive in a LOOTER-shooter is their problem, not ours.
-
If they need to pay you with loot in order to get you to stay in a match that YOU queued for that is a YOU problem. Not a Bungie problem. If all you want is loot there are other playlists that you can go play and get more loot from.
-
If they need to pay you with loot in order to get you to stay in a match that YOU queued for that is a YOU problem. Not a Bungie problem.
If loot wasn't a concern, then why doesn't Bungie disable post-game rewards entirely? Make people play for the fun or whatever they want and remove all Crucible rewards and see how long that lasts. Your argument doesn't hold up. Might as well disable all Crucible-related quests too, since me queueing for a game to get loot that BUNGIE locked behind Crucible is somehow my problem.
If all you want is loot there are other playlists that you can go play and get more loot from.
In the Crucible? Oh, like what? Trials that's locked and disabled until Bungie enables it? IB, which is only twice a season now and also disabled? Competitive, the dead, abandoned playlist where you can earn sunset, useless pinnacle rewards that the casuals such as yourself whined enough for Bungie to never make again? Man, I'm really drowning in choice for Crucible loot.

If the loot and/or fun isn’t worth the time then don’t play crucible…
-
I could say the same for the people crying for Bungie to add SBMM precisely because they said the game isn't fun for them being stomped. Once again the double standards and BS hypocrisy surface. If your response to players is "Just quit the game", that's an awful solution.
-
Bruh that’s not what I said 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ and you aren’t getting stomped because of SBMM, you’re just playing people your skill level and you’re mad you can’t keep a 10 KD. You can’t compare people being forced to play people above their skill level constantly to good players not being able to stomp lower skill level players.
-
If the loot and/or fun isn’t worth the time then don’t play crucible…
Sorry where did you not mean to say "quit the Crucible"? Where is the confusion here?
-
The confusion here is you don’t remember your own argument that you made 2 seconds before. You said the loot wasn’t worth it. So if it’s not fun and the loot sucks, why play it? My solution to SBMM isn’t to quit, it’s to understand that you can’t stomp players for a 10KD anymore. Even people like FrostBolt can only maintain about a 2KD. If that doesn’t mean SBMM isn’t working, i don’t know what does. You people are just mad you can’t have a 10KD anymore because you were never as good as you thought you were and SBMM is your reckoning.
-
Pffft, no. This would happen any time a stack loses. It was just rare that they did lose before SBMM. People just need to get used to their stats going down to where they should be.
