99% of LFG posts are KWTD Posts (shocker) comprised of people who can teach but choose not to so solo players are subject to toxic groups (KWTD Kids, etc..)
You’re right, they should be forced to teach a new group Warpriest every timeand sit there for 3 hours constantly failing at one encounter every time. It’s so selfish that they don’t have to sit in a raid for eight hours, which I’ve done before; we still didn’t finish btw, with me so I get what I want.
How dare they value their time. Imagine the level of entitlement someone possesses to want to finish a raid in 45-60 minutes instead of helping ME😡.
I’m deserving of everyone else’s time because I’m good enough but also not at the same time because I lack the most basic understanding of the mechanics. I can’t possibly be bothered to watch a 30 minute video because that wastes my time, instead I’ll waste hours of everyone else’s time since that is more efficient.

Honestly I don't want to be taught. I want to just learn and figure it out. But that is only possible with new raids. I'm at the point where I only want to try raids with other friends who haven't done it. Most people I end up with who know how to do the encounter (even if the post didn't have a KWTD label) just suck so much. All some people do is put people down for learning slow (which is basically what your comment is doing) and at that point it's just not even worth it if you're really playing the video game to have fun. I don't know if you have ever played a Zelda game, but destiny raids are basically the multiplayer versions of Zelda dungeons. Half the fun to me is figuring it out. Watching a video kinda takes the fun away because at that point I already know what to do. Someone on the internet solved it for me, hooray. I get why some people actually like other people doing the thinking for them but for me, a fun part of video games is actually figuring it out on my own or with other people. This whole obsession with everyone having to watch video guides actively makes the game less fun. I don't need to join people's KWTD raids, but that negative energy seems to bleed into every single raid group. "why aren't you doing X?" "I've never done this raid before I'm just figuring it out" "Just go watch a video next time" Maybe I gotta just start making "You must not know what to do posts" But there are already so much posts gatekeeping in LFG I don't feel like adding to that. Sorry for the rant, just tired of people bringing KWTD energy into non KWTD groups, I feel like the problem is the whole culture of KWTD.

You are not entitled to someone else’s time. If you want to figure it out, great. If the other five people want a quick run and joined a group with that expectation and you insist on figuring it by yourself? Nah Gatekeeping isn’t a problem in this game. How does someone else making a post prevent you from playing? You can always make your own group or join a teaching post. There’s three with people that are teaching or need taught that have been posted in the past minute.

I already said i never join kwtd posts lmfao.
-
I know. I wish more people did the same

Seems to me like we have the same problem. You hate when people join kwtd posts and don't know what to do, I hate when people join non-kwtd posts and act like everybody should be perfect. I guess people just need to be better at sticking to the kind of group they actually want to play with.

It’s something that can’t really be fixed unfortunately🤷

Edited by SkinPoppeR: 9/3/2022 8:14:49 AMLike extremely rude and not accurate. I haven’t done a ton of raids probably like 40 VOG runs on my warlock or titan each. But my favorite raids were those 5 hour long runs where folks were respectful and I had to show them how to do encounters. Hands down the most fun experiences I’ve ever had in gaming over 30 years are those exact kinds of raids. Folks who “want to finish fast” have never had a problem doing raids cause ya got a clan or LFG websites are tailored to that. So your condescending tone and opinion doesn’t even make sense or matter cause these issues don’t bother you. Go do your addiction loot run.

happy you have the time to sit there for 4-5 hours teaching somebody a raid, but unfortunately alot of players don't. not entitlement, just got in real life stuff. (i don't tho, paid vacation is awesome)

How is my time not wanting to be wasted rude. I have to issue being in a raid for 4 or 5 hours if I know that I’m going to be playing with people don’t don’t have experience with the raid. However, when they lie about what they know and are too stubborn to admit they don’t know what they’re doing even though it is blatantly obvious, that’s where I have an issue. That 8 hour raid I did, I knew that they hadn’t done endgame PvE before. Absolutely zero issue with that experience. It’s the only run of DSC that I’ve done where I can remember the side conversations because we had a lot of them. Being in an LFG that says KWTD and have experience and playing with someone that doesn’t even know how the scanner buffworks? Really? The scanner buff. That’s where I have an issue. I don’t want to be in a raid for 5 hours every time I run it. Sometimes I want to be in and out in 40-50 minutes.

Why do you guys defend yourselves to this? Who cares what they're whining about. Even just engaging the gives them a voice. They all know perfectly well they can take the time to make their own team and learn the raid with others.
They all know perfectly well they can take the time to make their own team and learn the raid with others.
If that were true then people wouldn’t complain about KWTD posts

Settle down.
