Weasel Error Code after trying to log onto a character

Self-explanatory. Everytime I boot up Destiny 2 on Steam, I can get into the menu screen to log onto a character, and no matter what character I choose, it ends up with me stuck in a loading screen for roughly 15 seconds getting barraged with "Contacting Destiny 2 Servers" messages then be greeted with Error Code Weasel. It started happening roughly 14-18h ago, but that's only because I just started to try to log back into the game around that time. Weasel code has something to do with having cross-save active and playing on multiple platforms at the same time, yet I am not doing that. I have my account linked to Steam, Xbox, and Epic, but I have only been trying to access the game on Steam, nothing else. My best bet is just switching to a wired connection, as that's the only other fix that the D2 Help guide gives. All I wanted to know is this: Is anyone else having the same issue? I've seen a couple posts mentioning weasel, yet I'm not sure if it's the exact one I'm having. If it is a Bungie problem, hopefully they resolve it quickly.

  • Is anyone having lag issues and visual crashes after the update too? the frames dropped horribly for me and the screen starts muliplying and distorting like crazy on loading times idk what to do. This has never happened to me before!

    • Playing D2 on Wifi is 100% not recomended. Far to unstable.
