Don't see a point in wasting time and resources to model a completely unique area for a 2 minute mission you only do once when they have an abundance of older stuff sitting in the DCV they can pull from.
Don't be surprised when next weeks is a Tangled Shore lost sector.

I don't think recycling a lost sector for filler is the problem. As a Destiny player I come to expect there will always be some filler mission that sends you to a lost sector you've done a billion times except this time you gotta fight what's his face to get the bubonic decombobulator. That's Destiny. The problem is "No, no, no, this totally ISN'T that place you used to be able to play whenever you wanted until we took it away, because we needed to vault it. Look. Does this look like mars to you, it's a totally different area?" It's just a kick in the balls that the DCV is reclaimed assets to resell. Take the Leviathan for example. OK they added some scenery and reproposed it, nothing wrong with that. But the real kick in the balls is going back there knowing, "I used to raid here, I paid to raid here, that's something I'll never do again(until Bungie decides to sell it back to us). but that's gone now because it had to be vaulted for the new stuff. Except the new stuff is the same area as what they removed, just spruced up". They removed the raid, then reused the asset. No problem if they left the raid in and you could still do it as a Legacy raid, AND repurposed it.
they have an abundance of older stuff sitting in the DCV they can pull from. Don't be surprised when next weeks is a Tangled Shore lost sector.
At this point I wouldn't be surprised if the next new location in the next DLC was just IO painted blue with a bunch of new buildings.
