He tried to blackmail Belle by imprisoning his father, and wanted to murder the Beast not because the Beast posed an actual threat, but because Belle had a thing for him (implying he would’ve killed a normal dude for the same reason).
If that’s your idea of a hero, I think you might have some issues you need to work out.

Edited by LiamSG19: 9/1/2022 11:58:06 AMWas imprisoning her father really that bad? Seeing as he was attempting to bring about the destruction of their agrarian society through his machines. And the Beast? I’ll be honest, it’s hard not to sympathize for him. However, he proves himself to be a s im p when he rejects the old lady at the beginning. Now, you might be thinking, “Um, based physiognomy check?” Except, he proves himself to be a s im p for her as soon as she reveals herself as a beautiful sorceress. The Beast was clearly leading Belle astray and unwilling to provide the strong leadership necessary from a man in the marriage. One more thing, the Beast knows he’s a man, so he’s basically just LARPing as an animal throughout the film.

1. Even if Belle’s father was up to something bad, Gaston didn’t try to lock him up because he did something bad. He was locking him up for blackmail. 2. The Beast was just a kid when he met the Enchantress. He didn’t know any better.

Q: was imprisoning her father so bad? A: Yes, considering that the man really doesn’t do too much. Even if he did pose a threat-immediate imprisonment isn’t really a lawful prospect. Q: What about the Beast? A: I’ll agree that at the beginning of the movie he is a jerk, and he is also that way to Belle when he first meets her, he has also grown that way after several years of neglect-he grows to think that he’s incapable of accepting love. Now, imprisoning someone is not ok, however Gaston is also guilty of this, as well as also constantly creeping and harassing Belle-continually after she tells him to leave Gaston ain’t the hero, he’s a self serving -blam!- who doesn’t consider anyone else.

She has good taste, Sofia the First is a good show. I still want the soundtrack on iTunes, but they only have the first two seasons or so. Bleh. Also, that video is from 5 years ago. Has it really been five years? When did that happen? >.>
