Two years ago from March 31st to August 3rd, network manipulation on Trials on your Titan. Even though it’s been over a year, it can take sometime for Bungie to ban people.
Edit: Warlock, from April 13th to the 18th, two years ago, same thing.
Edit 2: Hunter, from April 12th to the 26th, two years ago, same thing.

I found what you're looking at, this was during the time when win trading was not in the TOS, when the TOS was revised it was announced that going forward that it could be a bannable offense. From then on, I no longer did that. As you can see in my match history.

Looking through posts around that time, it was agreed that, even though Bungie didn’t mention it in the tos, that network manipulation, which was the main form to do this, for win trading was against Bungie’s rules. Also, network manipulation was always against Bungie’s rules and win trading was a form of network manipulation due to either exploring the match making system to join friends so they’ll leave, giving your team the win or out right manipulating the network to do this. These types of exploits have always been against Bungie’s rules as they give you an advantage over other players. Just because Bungie didn’t mention it in their rules, doesn’t mean that it wasn’t a banaful offence. They only mentioned it when it became a bigger issue to stop people moaning that they got banned for no reason, where they clearly were banned because of win trading/network manipulation. Also Bungie even disabled trials for a while due to win trading.

Network manipulation was always against ToS, wintrading and network manipulation are 2 different things

Is this something that you're seeing on my account? I've never manipulated my network connection to gain an unfair advantage. I've had time where I've had some ISP problems, but nothing serious and definitely nothing that would cause me to lag. My connection either works really well, or it very rarely just goes down. Where can I see these things on my account? I'm assuming I've been reported for this in trials? If you look at my trials report you can see that I'm terrible and usually need a hard carry!! I still stand 100% firm that I've never done anything other than just play the game.

Just go to any of your character’s history, filter to trials and go to around April 2020, it’s clear you or someone in your group, but most likely you since you did it on all of your characters on different days, had matches that don’t have anything on them then a match timer which only shows matches under a minute. This of course is impossible and the only conclusion is network manipulation.

Edited by foaleY: 8/31/2022 8:03:05 PMIt was win trading, we connected with our friends. Like I said, back then this was not against TOS. We didn't need to do anything with our network connections to match each other. I appreciate the information, however, this is 100% not the reason why. It was in their TWAB that people that win traded prior to the new TOS would not be banned or suspended.

It was still a form of network manipulation, as you had to exploit the network in order to join. This isn’t as bad as DDOSing the other team but still a form of network manipulation. Also, it gave you an illegal unfair advantage over people as you didn’t put time and effort into legitimately getting the trials stuff. Over all you are still cheating but at the end of the day, this is more of a speculation that this was the course of your ban.
