You don’t have to do it.
The only thing that requires a high light level is GM nightfalls. And they won’t be around for weeks.
Play anyway you want and by the time they come around the artifact will have you basically where you need to be.
Seems like a lot of players lack self control. They see that they can raise their light level and they feel it’s a must do. It’s not.

I’d like to do the GM nightfalls, but I don’t have time for the grind. I don’t want to do easy stuff. I like brutally hard and punishing activities. But I don’t have time to grind for it. I have too much stuff to do irl. I hate this assumption that everyone who can’t make the time commitment is automatically a casual who only likes easy stuff. I like difficult stuff. With games like Dark Souls, you don’t have to grind your life away just to get to the fun stuff. The entire game is the fun stuff. D2 on the other hand, is catered towards addicts. My time is valuable. The expansions and season passes already cost a lot of money. I can afford the money price, but the time cost is far more severe. I can’t afford it time wise. Life is too short, and I already feel behind in life. I’m not going to grind my life away for 1 game.

But with that said you really are playing the wrong game. This is a game where the single biggest mechanic has been, and always will be, grind. Grind and RNG are the two main mechanics of this game. That’s what looter shooters are. They are made for people who like to grind. Dark souls is not about grind. So naturally you just go and play it. Your not wrong for not liking grind or anything like that. But you are objectively paying for and playing a game that is not for you. Which you basically admit. I hate games with permadeath. X on for example. I genuinely like the game outside of that mechanic. But that mechanics is a big part of that game. It was made for people who like that mechanic. So I don’t play it. I wouldn’t try to change a game because I’m playing the wrong game.

What is this, Reddit? Guardian speaks the truth and gets downvoted I to oblivion? Don’t fall for the trap.

Trials in two weeks? Also I want to be done with it so I can fix my loadouts and vault. The leveling process is messy af.
Trials in two weeks? Also I want to be done with it so I can fix my loadouts and vault. The leveling process is messy af.
How does hitting the pinnacle cap help you fix loadouts and your vault?
-
So I can move my gear back over and start leveling it up instead of having half of my stuff in the vault. First time?
So I can move my gear back over and start leveling it up instead of having half of my stuff in the vault. First time?
Why would you need everything in your vault leveled up? Are you using half your vault in the 5% of the game where light level matters?

That’s not even what I’m saying dude , but alas I don’t have time for this mundane convo.
muted
Not everyone wants to do that pointless grind for weeks until it shows up. If I can hit it in a day or two so I'm can play the game instead of grinding power, what's the reason I'm not allowed to do that?

For endgame players, it is a must. You need every light level possible for master raids.
-
For endgame players, it is a must. You need every light level possible for master raids.
No you don’t. People do it under leveled all the time. Master raids also have a cap on them. So when people over level it doesn’t even matter.
Master raids also have a cap on them. So when people over level it doesn’t even matter.
Master KF will be 1600, you won’t over-level until you hit +41 on your artifact, which very few people will do.

you don't even raid man... why insist you're correct when you've done 0 master raid seals.
-
you don't even raid man... why insist you're correct when you've done 0 master raid seals.
Your logic is flawed here bud. Little off topic but it’s related. Say you go out to eat and order a rare steak. 40 minutes later the server brings you this tough black steak and says “eat up”. You look up at the server and say “sorry but I ordered a rare steak” they reply “are you a chef? No? Than don’t question it”. That’s a -blam!- answer from the server is it not? You can never cook a steak yourself in your entire life and it’s still possible for you to know the difference between rare and well done. People can research and learn things. It’s not hard. It’s 2022. We have infinite resources just sitting in our pocket. I can learn everything about a raid while sitting on a toilet.

You are so wrong.... The only Master content where high Light Level matters IS the Master raid.. I think you didnt Even play 1 Master raid, the damage increase is massive when you at Level. GMs on the other Hand dont matter the Light Level because its capped...

Nope they dont, i did a Master vog last season with some friends, and i have a lifeless friend who was pl1600 He did almost 500k more damage than all other fireteam members and we used all the same heavy weapons, so and you Tell me its capped? Ok just have your opinion im out of this discussion...
-
FYI - there is a max cap, i believe its +20 over and much like being under there are diminishing returns.
-
Yep extra damage through +20 but damage resistance continues to improve very slightly beyond +20.
-
I know that, but if you are at LL you do significantly more damage, i already said that...

What level will master raids be this season ?
-
What level will master raids be this season ?
1590 I think? I may be pulling that number out of my -blam!- though. But for some reason that’s what comes to mind lol.
