WHAT YEAR IS IT?!

Since I recently got a PC I’ve been slowly wading back into the PC side of gaming and I am going with what I remembered enjoying as a youth (Civ, AOE, TotalWar, etc). Add in the fact my oldest daughter has started to enjoy some animes and asked if she could watch Dragonball with me (which I’ve owned on DVD for a loooong time). So it’s kind of felt like I’m back in 1998 as I’ve been watching Dragonball and getting a few turns in on Civ before I hit the hay and it’s been odd because my brain gave me dream last night as if I was back in Jr High and I was late for school! Anyway….Civ 6 is a trip and I’m enjoying the deep learning curve.

Thus we came forth to rebehold the stars - old

So much of my childhood is connected to Civ, it always make me glad to see it mentioned. I liked Civ VI. Not as much as IV, mind you, but I liked it's mechanics. Especially the fact that you could wage literal holy wars. A bit different than Civ IV's religion mechanics, but fun for a change. I haven't bought any of the dlc and haven't played in a while, but I hear that the dlc make the game extremely good. Not unsurprising for a Civ game, but still worth noting. Also, it adds so Scotland. So yeah.
