So much of my childhood is connected to Civ, it always make me glad to see it mentioned.
I liked Civ VI. Not as much as IV, mind you, but I liked it's mechanics. Especially the fact that you could wage literal holy wars. A bit different than Civ IV's religion mechanics, but fun for a change. I haven't bought any of the dlc and haven't played in a while, but I hear that the dlc make the game extremely good. Not unsurprising for a Civ game, but still worth noting. Also, it adds so Scotland. So yeah.

Did someone say… holy wars? *Dave Mustaine says in his normal, ratty old voice* -
I started a new single player game and I’ve got Scotland just to the south of me! First time the game has thrown them at me, every Civ plays a little differently and the learning curve is not fooling around! It’s be fun to game with you if you’ve got a Steam account!

Yeah, Civ is no joke when it comes to difficulty and mechanics. Thankfully it's a game where it's fun even to lose! Though losing gloriously is usually Scotland's job. That sounds great to me! I don't currently have Civ VI on PC, but I've been thinking about buying the full package on Steam sometime. When I do I'd be game to game! Haven't played multiplayer Civ in a long time, I've certainly missed it.
