So the whole overarching theme of light fall is that in someway shape or form humanity is going to lose something. Weather we actually lose the light light or not is up for debate, but we can see in the lore that Elsie Bray watched the traveler leave the city in a previous timeline. Here’s the thing, does our guardian actually get his light from the traveler? During the red war we connected to the shard of the traveler to get our light back, and every time we regained a subclass we didn’t go to the traveler, we went to the shard. And the fact that the shard was able to grant us light even though the main traveler was contained leads me to believe the shard is it’s own entity, and it never reconnected with the traveler. So my question is how big of a role, if at all, will the shard of the traveler play in the future of Destiny2?

Shard still exists It would be cool if they added a way to the new light quest that made it where they had to travel to the shard to learn about their subclass before unlocking it
