I get error marmot everyday now. I’m on my 5th uninstall and reinstall. This is getting old. I’ve also rebuilt my database and still having issues. This needs like a patch or something at this point.
Edit 2: this is only happening with Destiny 2. PS4 isn’t even that old, doesn’t over heat and super quiet.
Key updates: late night on 8/28 (or early morning 8/29) was able to get to character selection screen then a general PS4 crash error (which I’ve seen with Bungie error Marmot). 7:20am est 8/29 able to get to “verifying content downloading Destiny” screen and gives error code Marmot seconds into this process and the same general PS4 crash error.
Update 8/29 at about 1:01pm est I was able to get into the game, load into the Tower, and then get the error code marmot. The “corrupted data” message has disappeared.
Updates 8/30: was able to get online and play on and off most of the day but still getting Marmot errors.

1 Replyassuming you've talked to sony about possible HW failure on your drive? perhaps install D2 on an external drive. if you keep uninstalling and reinstalling into the same bad sectors, you will continue to see the same issues.
