So it would probably take you a combined 2-3 hours to do all the story of each season if you went in totally blind.
It takes Bungie MONTHS to develop, polish, and verify content for each season.
Please respect the amount of development that goes into the game. If you don't want to wait, don't play. There's plenty to do, and if you've done EVERYTHING since the season launched 5 days ago, then you should probably put the game down until next Tuesday.

Lmao did you actually just call this season polished?
-
You sure are doing a lot of "defending". Are others not entitled to their opinions as well as you?
-
They can have their opinion. But I'm going to voice mine as well.

If you hate the game, please feel free to leave. I respect those that develop this game.
-
I dont hate the game, but you cant seriously call this "polished."
-
I'd like to see you do better.

All right, first thing I would do is TEST THE GAME! How did the GL ship this broken, it wasn't some player exploit, or some niche bug, any testing of GLs would immediately show the problem. No way this could have "slipped past" playtesters, they obviously just forgot to test them for a final time before the update. There is a reason you test multiple times. Especially in D2, there is a lot of conflicting code that inadvertently changes other aspects, therefore TEST YOUR GAME after you have added all your changes to see what got broken along the way. Same with resilience bug. TLDR: Always give a playtest of your finalized product, just because it worked a week ago doesnt mean some bit of code you added wont mess it up again.
-
Do you think they don't test at all? The only have so many employees, and of them they can only playtest a few hours a week, because they have to develop the game itself. So even if they had 1000 employees playtest 5 hours a week. That's 5000 hours of playtesting. Within minutes of a patch or season going live, that is blown completely out of the water by the amount of players they have logging in to play. It's not feasible to expect them to find all the bugs. Stop pretending that they just need to playtest more, it's not easy to code anything that runs as expected, seriously are you a child? Do you know what it's like to code? If the answer is yes, you need to have more compassion for the people developing the game you want to play. If you think they're doing it wrong, by all means, apply as a coder and fix this -blam!- for them. Otherwise complaining about the "final product" because it has some bugs is just laughably lazy. TLDR: You are expecting a minuscule fraction of people compared to the playerbase to find all the bugs before any patch goes live, and that's just not possible.

Reading is hard
they obviously just forgot to test them for a final time before the update

Always give a playtest of your finalized product

just because it worked a week ago doesnt mean some bit of code you added wont mess it up again.
Also this point that you made: "So even if they had 1000 employees playtest 5 hours a week. That's 5000 hours of playtesting. Within minutes of a patch or season going live, that is blown completely out of the water by the amount of players they have logging in to play" Doesnt take 5000 hours of playtesting to see that GLs are doing more damage than expected, or that you dont get DR with resil on titan and warlock. Again, these are not player exploits or a very niche bug, it would be apparent immediately if they gave a final playtest before shipping it.
-
Even if they had notes stating the damage was off, we don't have the full context, only from what we have experienced. So for all we know, it was working just fine on the back-end and when applied to the game something went wrong. Honestly you seems somewhat intelligent, but you lack any amount of sympathy, compassion, or understanding for the people who make the game you claim you don't hate, but love to complain about.
-
It's not a lack of sympathy that makes me laugh when you call the game polished, it's the fact that it just simply isnt. This game has always had a lot of bugs, and understandably so. They are doing the best they can with the engine theyre given I'm sure, but even so the bugs still exist and often times require weeks or months to get fixed. It can't be called polished.

Well in my 1500+ hours of playing destiny, the stability of the game has never been in question. I almost never crash and when I do, it is quickly discovered mainly to be a graphics driver, which they can only do so much on their end. While our definition of polish may differ, the fact remains that they're doing all they can, and it's not as simple as tweaking numbers for things to work out.
