But the HOW would they artificially inflate playtime??? OBVIOUSLYYYYYYY when people get the gun that has a 2% drop rate they will IMMEDIATELY stop playing the game so they HAVE to have low drop rates so people keep playing! But seriously, it's -blam!- stupid. All the stupid low drop chances with no bad luck protection do is incentivise people to only get on and run the raid's final boss 3 times a week then stop playing once they're done and disappointed until next week. Same as VoG. Every week after rank 100, get on, three attempts, absolute trash unlucky no drop, stop playing until next Tuesday. 2% drop rates are for games without drop caps per -blam!- week. Even borderlands, where you can farm bosses, even the HARDEST ENDGAME BOSSES, over and over, have their legendary+ weapons on 12% drop rates. Could you imagine playing Borderlands where you had to wait SEVEN -blam!- DAYS to kill a boss again at a drop chance that's SIX TIMES LOWER?! It's abhorrent and it's purely for artificially inflating playtime/weekly-login-repetition.
