We know enough about them. They are rather mindless, consumed by the concept of survival to the point where they lack culture and personality.
Little more then a hive of ants.
They don’t reject the powers. They can’t understand them so they have to be destroyed or removed. One subgroup is trying to gain Darkness power but we’ve prevented it so far.
They will likely be the first villain after the LD saga if they aren’t tied off beforehand.

If the sol divisive have chosen to worship the darkness then the rest of the vex are, by default, choosing not to. One would assume the same goes for light. We know they can’t simulate it but I don’t think that equates to not being able to understand it. In many situations they have made specific minds solely to understand the nature of a given encounter; Quria for the Sword Logic, and another mind to understand/defeat Saint and his light, just as a couple of examples. There’s a lot we don’t know about them but my main point was, by choice or otherwise, the Vex are an enemy outside of the L+D narrative which is why I was making a case for them to be the focus after this saga concludes. -
They can’t access the Light like they can the Darkness. Simulation requires understanding, they can understand the abilities and powers it grants from observation. Just like the Sword Logic was deduced by Quria by watching the Hive in action, not by understanding the Darkness. There hasn’t been any attempt by the much larger Vex collective to stop them. It was bearing fruit when we stopped it. The Sword Logic isn’t Darkness. And to learn the frequency of Light for one Guardian took centuries. Oh yeah, like I said, they’ll either be saved for post LD or rolled up before it’s over. The Vex seem to have had the most trouble with the retcons.

I doubt it it'll be tied up during the LD saga. The Vex were created from the shattered mind of the Witness.

Huh? They were a pattern that escaped the Garden.
