I’m having a hard time deciding which class to play lately, let alone which weapon package I bring (but that’s a story for another day). So I have head a non going on and would like to know which sounds most interesting.
Titan, Boneyard 7: once a sports entertainer (yes a wrestler) turned action movie star. Movies were corny but still acclaimed for using practical effects and expert stunt work. Paralyzed near the end of the production of ‘Boneyard VI: the Grave Mistake’. Tragedy was quickly forgotten when the traveler was discovered. Becoming obscure, but with a small legion of die-hard fans he was approached by Clovis Bray with the promise of being able to walk again and a possible comeback if he volunteered for a research project they were working on. When his exo conversion was complete after several reboots he choose the name Boneyard on his 7th iteration, for the fans that still remember him. He never got the chance as he was killed in a mass panic trying to enter the St. Petersburg Kosmodrome in Russia… fleeing a wave of black fire.
Warlock, Inspector Lapine: before the collapse she worked as an inter-agency detective specializing in theft of historical artifacts and valuable art. Having retrieved an original print of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ she was en route to return it to its home at the Sanctuary University on Venus. Soon after landing something triggered global cataclysmic events across the entire planet. Cities destroyed by azure lava, terraforming undone by the release of volcanic gasses. She died instantly to said gasses. Her ghost found her on Venus along with intact identification (hence why she kept her pre collapse name) and it took Mouse (her future ghost) 32 tries to separate the Inspector’s remains from toxic chemicals that merged with her marrow. Lapine felt every failed attempt. She now works for the Last City authorities as head of the Lightbarer Crimes division. Was absent for several years when a thought spoken out loud (bad habit of hers) was interpreted as a wish when disposing of Riven’s heart… transporting her and Mouse to Sagittarius A*. ‘I wish I knew who was at the heart of all of this.’ was the thought. Riven’s selection of Sagittarius A* was her attempt at humor.
Hunter Rook: Rook was born Franklin Charles Rook on the very day the collaboration mission to Mars launched. He sat with his parents at 4 watching the discovery of the Traveler. He grew up in an age of Wonders. His family was rather poor, so he joined the Military as a way to see other worlds. At the rank of Lieutenant he led the soon to be famous raid on the headquarters of the Trinary Star. They had deciphered one of the Traveler’s gifts, longevity and kept to themselves as a means of power. On the 27th anniversary of that raid, remnants of the cult consolidated power and forces to overthrow the Martian Government in the ‘name of Independence’. Rook died while engaging the coup forces, as did everyone else as catastrophic quakes and windstorms erased years of terraforming and society during the collapse.
But that when his first ghost found him. He was on the fireteam (some day landed the killing blow) the dropped Oryx. He was also one of the first casualties of the Red War. With what little power his ghost Bishop had left, he set their jump ship on a course to Ross 128, where a rumored post collapse settlement was. Years went by, and a guardian less ghost traveled to Ross128b and rose Rook for a second time. Having just returned to Sol, he deals with new situations like Cabal ceasefire, Eliksni settlement in the City and the impending doom of the approaching Witness.
Well there you have it. Which sounds more interesting/fun? And thank you for taking the time to read my insane headcanon.

The last one sounds the most interesting but you do know guardians don’t really remember their past right?
